One time, Lillian playfully asked.
William remained silent for a long while before replying: “No, but if you like, I can build those for you because you are more beautiful than Chang'e in Chinese mythology.”
This was the only time William had shown his true feelings, causing Lillian's young heart to race like a startled deer. Having such an unattainable “Electronic Lover” was a secret she cherished deep within her heart, one she did not share with anyone, not even her parents.
So she came without informing him in advance, wanting to give him a surprise that was late yet felt destined from the start.
