Liang Tian learned from Xiao Zhan that Chen Xue had a fierce argument with the elders of the Chen Family over their relationship, which left him both touched and worried. Liang Tian smiled politely and replied, "Could you please inform them that Liang Tian is here to see Old Master Chen and the esteemed elders of the Chen Family?" The butler scrutinized Liang Tian for a moment, hesitated, then turned to relay the message.
Inside the Chen Family Conference Hall, Old Master Chen and several elders were discussing matters when they heard that Liang Tian had requested an audience. Everyone was taken aback. Chen Zhen Guo frowned and snorted coldly, "He dares to come here? Truly unaware of his own situation."
Old Master Chen pondered for a moment before saying, "Since he has come, let us see what he has to say."
Led by the butler, Liang Tian entered the Conference Hall. The atmosphere was tense; the elders of the Chen Family sat in their seats with varying expressions, all eyes fixed on Liang Tian. He remained composed and respectfully bowed slightly. "Old Master Chen, esteemed elders of the Chen Family, I apologize for intruding."
Old Master Chen regarded Liang Tian with a penetrating gaze. "Liang Tian, what brings you here today?"
Liang Tian lifted his head, his eyes resolute. "Old Master Chen, esteemed elders, I have come today to express my genuine feelings for Chen Xue and to demonstrate my strength and potential. I hope the Chen Family can accept my relationship with her."
Chen Zhen Guo scoffed derisively. "Hmph! Words alone do not prove sincerity. How can we entrust our precious daughter so easily to you?"
Liang Tian remained unperturbed and calmly replied, "Uncle, I have known Chen Xue for a long time. We have weathered many storms together. When she faced danger, I never hesitated; I fought fiercely to protect her. This bond is anything but false."
He then shifted his tone: "As for my capabilities, I believe you have heard of my achievements. In business, I have collaborated with Xiao Zhan and achieved significant results in a short time while competing against the Chen Family without falling behind. This is not mere boasting; it is proof of my hard work and ability."
Chen Yuxuan nodded slightly in agreement with Liang Tian's words. Liang Tian continued, "Moreover, I have the guidance of Qingfeng Temple and Xuanfeng Zhenren behind me. On my path of cultivation, I possess limitless potential. I am confident that in the future, I can bring happiness to Chen Xue and also provide support to the Chen Family."
Old Master Chen furrowed his brows and asked, "How can you prove that you will not be a detriment to the Chen Family?"
Liang Tian replied sincerely, "Old Master Chen, I fully understand the status and influence of the Chen Family in Jiangnan City. My love for Chen Xue is rooted in my desire to integrate into the Chen Family and move forward together, not to become an enemy. If I am fortunate enough to become a part of the Chen Family, I will do everything in my power to protect its interests."
The people in the hall fell into silence after hearing Liang Tian's words. His honesty and confidence compelled them to reassess this young man. Chen Xue's aunt, Chen Wanqing, broke the silence, saying, "Liang Tian, your words do hold some merit. However, marriage is a significant matter that concerns the family, and we must consider it carefully."
Liang Tian bowed again, "I understand, and regardless of the outcome, I hope all of you elders can see my sincerity. My feelings for Chen Xue are as true as heaven and earth."
Old Master Chen waved his hand, "You may leave for now. We will seriously consider what you have said."
Liang Tian knew that although he had not immediately gained the Chen Family's approval during this visit, he had at least made them hear his voice. With a mixture of anxiety and anticipation in his heart, he bid farewell and left the Chen Family Mansion. After Liang Tian departed, the elders of the Chen Family fell into another intense discussion about Liang Tian and Chen Xue's future, which remained full of uncertainties.
