Finally, I found myself standing in front of a group of burly men.
My Mom gave a subtle signal to the man at the forefront.
The man charged towards me.
I stepped back cautiously, "What do you want?"
He reached out and covered my mouth and nose.
A pungent smell overwhelmed me.
I lost consciousness and fell into a faint.
When I awoke again, I found myself lying on a large bed in a villa.

Just then, the door swung open.
Wang Zhan and Yu Haotian entered one after the other.
I eyed them warily, "What do you want?"
Wang Zhan quickly approached me, "Jing Fang, listen to me!"
I coldly pushed him away, "Wang Zhan, we have nothing to do with each other anymore!"
Yu Haotian let out a scoff. "Man Jingfang, you can't even recognize us?"
I looked at him, puzzled. "What do you mean?"
He pointed to himself. "I am Yu Haotian."
Then he gestured toward Wang Zhan. "He is Wang Zhan."
"So what exactly is your relationship?" I asked.
Wang Zhan stepped forward to explain, "Jing Fang, I pretended to be Yu Haotian to find you."
Yu Haotian shrugged helplessly. "That's right."
"If he hadn't been lying about being Yu Haotian, you wouldn't have mistaken us."
Wang Zhan looked at me with guilt in his eyes. "I'm sorry, Jing Fang."
"But I really had no other choice."
"Ever since you disappeared, I haven't been able to find you."
He clutched his head in pain. "Jing Fang, I really miss you!"
Yu Haotian added from the side, "He even deliberately married Man Wenyu just to test your feelings for him."
I stared at Wang Zhan in disbelief. "What did you say?"
He forced a bitter smile. "I thought you still had feelings for me, so I wanted to use the wedding to gauge your emotions."
He paused for a moment before continuing, "But you seem to have no lingering feelings at all."
"Jing Fang, your heart is truly ruthless!"
I felt a jolt in my chest. "Wang Zhan, do you mean—"
He nodded. "That's right."
"Yu Haotian then added, "He has been looking for you."
A wave of sorrow washed over me. "Wang Zhan, I'm sorry."
In my past life, due to a misunderstanding about his relationship with Man Wenyu, I had severed all ties with him.

Tears began to fall uncontrollably.
I threw myself into Wang Zhan's arms. "Wang Zhan, I'm sorry, I misunderstood you."
Wang Zhan held me tightly. "Jing Fang, it's my fault."
"I shouldn't have tested you in this way."
I shook my head. "No, I should be the one saying sorry."
After a long while, we finally parted.
I grasped Wang Zhan's hand tightly. "This won't happen again, right?"
He said solemnly, "It won't happen again."
I couldn't help but smile through my tears. "That's good to hear."
Yu Haotian rolled his eyes in exasperation. "Alright, you two have made up now."
"What about the kidnapping incident before—"
Wang Zhan's expression darkened. "That was my mom's doing."
I looked at him in disbelief. "What did you just say?"
Wang Zhan nodded. "That's right."
"Last time we found out it was your mom who hired someone to kidnap you."
"Then for some reason, those people suddenly let you go."
"And later, we received news of your death."
He looked at me with guilt in his eyes. "Jing Fang, I'm sorry."
"I should have protected you better."
I shook my head. "Wang Zhan, this isn't your fault."
"It's my fault!"
