The cool breeze wafted through the air, and Yu Chunmiao felt her eyelids grow heavy, as if weighed down by lead. Before long, she drifted into a deep sleep. 0

Her dreams were chaotic yet vivid, filled with the emotions stirred by Qi Chong's earlier actions. She found herself laughing in her dream, unaware of it. There were moments of panic at the brink of falling, and despair just before death. Tears streamed from the corners of her eyes, soaking Qi Chong's chest. 0

He kissed away her salty tears, softly calling her name. "Yu Chunmiao, Yu Chunmiao." 0

His deep voice was laced with tenderness and urgency, transforming into the original owner's sorrow within her dream. "Yu Chunmiao, Yu Chunmiao, you are happy but he cannot feel it. You have too many secrets; you don't deserve his love. Return him to me." 0

It felt as if the original owner was trying to push her away, shoving her into darkness. Yu Chunmiao pushed back fiercely, shouting, "I won't leave! I won't leave! Qi Chong, save me!" 0

She struggled with all her might, each push directed at Qi Chong. 0

"What about me? Don't be afraid," the man's voice echoed in her dream. 0

Yu Chunmiao woke up, yet her thoughts lingered in the dream world as she buried herself in his embrace, crying. "She doesn't want me to be with you; she wants to drive me away. Boo hoo hoo." 0

Qi Chong gently patted her back and asked in his softest voice, "Who wants to drive you away?" 0

"Yu Chunmiao wants to drive me away! I don't want to go; I don't want to leave you." 0

As she spoke, it was as if she wanted to merge into his chest, holding him even tighter. 0

Though Qi Chong didn’t fully understand her words, he comforted her nonetheless. "I don’t want to leave you either; no one can drive you away—not even yourself." 0

As her consciousness gradually returned, Yu Chunmiao's sobs began to subside. Qi Chong placed gentle kisses on her damp eyelids; the warmth of his lips spread across her skin, slowly dissipating the negative emotions from her dream. 0

With a tender whisper of "Sleep now," Yu Chunmiao closed her eyes. Yet the voice of the original owner echoed in her mind once more. 0

Frustrated, she opened her eyes again and tried repeatedly to close them but found sleep elusive. 0

Her long lashes brushed against Qi Chong's skin; he knew she was still awake. 0

"Yu Chunmiao," he said softly, "if you can't sleep, let's talk." 0

"What are you saying?" Her voice was laced with fatigue. 0

"Tell me about your dream from earlier; if you say it out loud, you won't be scared anymore." 0

Silence. 0

"Can't you say it?" The man sounded a bit disappointed. 0

Silence. 0

After a long pause, he said, "Forget it, I won't ask again. If you can't sleep, I'll tell you a story." 0

When he was young and had trouble sleeping, he would tell stories, and he found it quite effective. 0

Once upon a time, there was a fisherman who, as usual, went out to fish. He caught a fish that was entirely golden. The golden fish spoke and said it wasn't just a fish; it was a Heavenly Fairy who had come down to play but got hurt and hid inside the fish's body. 0

As Qi Chong told the story, Yu Chunmiao pondered deeply. 0

The original owner had said she didn't deserve Qi Chong's love because she had too many secrets. 0

Looking at Qi Chong, who clearly wanted to know everything but held back from asking, she felt selfish. Should she tell him everything? 0

But if she spilled it all at once, would he be able to accept it? 0

"Qi Chong!" Yu Chunmiao interrupted him. 0
