Half a month had passed, and now they were talking about compensation, which made the couple laugh. Yu Chunmiao blinked her almond-shaped eyes, her two dimples showing as she smiled brightly.
I said to Li Dongmei, "This is the medical clinic. Bring Yu Chun here, and we’ll let the doctor examine her injuries. Whatever the doctor says, we’ll pay."
A few days ago, Yu Wei had returned and mentioned that this silly sister-in-law not only recovered from her illness but also had money now. She even invited him to dinner in the county, spending over a tael of silver on just one meal, which she refused to believe.
Today, looking at her, she was dressed in fine cotton clothes, and her complexion was rosy and healthy. Standing next to her, she looked like a blooming flower while I felt like a mere straw.

"Qing Niangzi, I’ll go get you some hot water," Qi Chong said seriously.
Yu Chunmiao couldn’t help but chuckle.
Li Dongmei was taken aback by her sharp tongue; in a fit of rage, she clutched her stomach and stumbled.
Yu Chunmiao was alarmed and worried that something might happen to her, so she grabbed Qi Chong and ran away.
Qi Chong pointed at Li Dongmei and asked, "Is she alright?"
Yu Chunmiao replied, "If there’s something wrong, it’s her own fault for picking a fight when she knows she’s not well. If she doesn’t take care of herself, who will care for her?"
"Yes, Qing Niangzi is right," Qi Chong said with a relaxed demeanor as he walked alongside her.
The two of them stopped by a snack shop to buy two bags of candied fruits, planning to express their gratitude to Doctor Yu at Yu's Bone Setting.
As soon as they entered Yu's Bone Setting, the same apprentice from last time greeted them.
"Qi Niangzi! Long time no see! Doctor Yu just mentioned that Qi Zi’s leg has healed; we won’t be seeing you anymore," he said cheerfully.
Yu Chunmiao smiled back, "How could that be? Doctor Yu is such a good person; even if we’re not sick, we should still be friends with him! Where is Doctor Yu?"
Before the apprentice could answer, a scream came from the consultation room.
The apprentice shrugged his shoulders with an unspoken expression.
The young couple sat down to wait. After a few more screams, Doctor Yu finally emerged from the room wiping his hands.
After the family members finished their inquiries, the two of them approached Doctor Yu.
Yu Chunmiao presented some snacks and said, "Doctor Yu, my leg has healed quite well. I came here today specifically to thank you."
Doctor Yu took the snacks and handed them to an apprentice nearby. He glanced at Qi Chong, who stood with his legs firmly planted and his posture upright, clearly showing signs of recovery. It was strange; one would expect him to limp for a while longer, yet he seemed to have healed so quickly. "Sit down and let me take a look!"
Qi Chong didn't understand why he was better, and it seemed that Doctor Yu was somewhat skeptical as well. Nevertheless, he obediently sat down.
Doctor Yu examined his leg through the fabric of his trousers, applying a bit more pressure with his hands. However, Qi Chong felt no pain at all. His handsome face displayed a hint of mischief as if to say, "Why not try pressing a little harder?"
"It’s odd how quickly you’ve healed. What did you eat?" Doctor Yu asked.
Qi Chong thought carefully and realized that aside from the acupuncture session with Shi Song, he hadn’t consumed anything particularly special.
