Yu Chunmiao decided not to keep them in suspense any longer and continued, "I will divide the money into five parts: one for each of the three brothers, one for Mother, and one for Gong Zhong. The second brother is already grown up; he can manage his own money. When he marries in the future, he will contribute one part himself while Gong Zhong will contribute another."
"Qi Rong isn't grown yet; his money will be managed by Mother until he turns ten. Whether he wants to start a business or go to school will be up to him."
"The portion for Gong Zhong will be managed by Qi Chong. All household expenses—rice, flour, oil, lamp oil, paper—will have to go through him."
Chen Ruolan couldn't help but ask again if they were really not going to divide the family assets.
"Mother, what are you joking about?" Yu Chunmiao laughed helplessly. "How could we manage without anyone? If we divided the family, how would we make money?"
Qi Yuan also felt relieved; Sister-in-law wasn't planning to leave this family but was considering what was best for everyone.
Without any worries, Chen Ruolan felt more at ease and agreed to Yu Chunmiao's arrangement. Yu Chunmiao suggested that everyone raise their hands to vote. The whole family raised their hands, except for Qi Rong, who reluctantly lifted his hand slowly.
"You're still young and can't manage money yet," Qi Chong called out to him. "All that money will be yours in the future, so don't let it slip away."
Qi Rong scratched his head and expressed his thoughts, but without money in hand, it felt like waking up from a beautiful dream halfway through.
Yu Chunmiao placed a hand on his shoulder and said, "You are the youngest in our family and also the one who contributes the most. So, your sister-in-law has decided to give you fifty coins each month as pocket money."
"Sister-in-law, you truly are my dear sister-in-law!" Qi Rong exclaimed excitedly as he hugged Yu Chunmiao around the waist and jumped into her embrace, completely forgetting that she was a Manly Man.
A Manly Man doesn’t need pocket money; he certainly didn’t want to be seen that way. It wasn’t until he received a light whack from his older brother's cane that Qi Rong finally let go of Yu Chunmiao.
