The moon in the early morning appears particularly bright, and the sleeping city breathes so gently. This is Xu Yicheng's favorite Time.
In the early morning, no one will disturb themselves, only focusing on their beloved activities.
Fingers dance freely on the keyboard, and the cigarette butt between the fingers has burned to the end. Xu Yicheng felt the burning sensation and jumped out of the virtual world, quickly extinguishing the cigarette butt.
On the screen, yesterday's urgent news was displayed: a team had gone missing while exploring the mountainous border of T City, and a rescue operation was being organized. Currently, only one person had escaped, and that individual was now being treated in a mental hospital due to extreme panic.

Xu Yicheng's transformation from a skeptic to a believer in gods and ghosts was largely influenced by his experiences. Since the shocking incident last year involving aliens clashing with the Military Base, people's attention had once again turned to Earth's neighbor, the Moon. The existence of Alien Life had been confirmed; what else could be deemed impossible?
If the Life Wand does not exist, how can we explain the birth and existence of the Stone Giant Clan?
In the days since returning home, Xu Yicheng has been questioning himself daily. For him, curiosity can no longer explain why he is so eager to know everything now. It was only after meeting that mysterious old man that Xu Yicheng gradually realized he might have become embroiled in a significant upheaval—one that affects the fate of all humanity.
He wants to escape, but every time he touches the stone given to him by Aibo, Xu Yicheng feels as if he owes him something.
Perhaps, finding the Life Wand and ensuring it does not fall into evil hands is the best way to repay Aibo.
With that thought, he took out the stone given by Aibo. He examined it closely and placed it in the center of his computer screen. Suddenly, his email flashed; Xu Yicheng set down the stone and opened the incoming message.
The email contained a single line: "If you want to know more, come to Apartment 12, Block 9, Xiudan Road, L County, T City. We are waiting for you."
"Who is it? How did they know my email?" Xu Yicheng looked puzzled. He was supposed to be invisible.
He glanced at the mysterious email and then at the time: 3:30.
"Forget it, time to sleep," he thought, and fell asleep on the bed.
The next day, Xu Yicheng got up and marked today on the calendar with a cross. The school gave him a ten-day break, and today is the third day. He went to the kitchen and fried an egg, drizzled some soy sauce, and ate it as breakfast. Back in his room, Xu Yicheng turned on his computer, and to his surprise, another email had been sent to his computer! Xu Yicheng opened it and found that the content was exactly the same as the one he received in the early morning. "What does this mean, are they threatening me?" Xu Yicheng suddenly felt a little scared. He thought that if he didn't go, maybe one day while he was still sleeping, someone would sneak into his house and attack him. Xu Yicheng stood up and paced back and forth in the room. What if it's a scam?
Twenty minutes later, the door was still opened. Xu Yicheng picked up a bag and headed to the bus station.
"Take care, sir," an old man bid farewell to a customer who had come for a fortune-telling, then straightened out the wrinkled bagua diagram.
At that moment, a man wearing sunglasses and a duckbill cap approached. He squatted down, looked at the old man, and said nothing.
"Dr. Xu, after reading that book, what are your thoughts?" the old man asked with a smile.
"Are the prophecies in it all true?" Xu Yicheng asked the old man eagerly.
"They are just prophecies."
"So it's not real?" Xu Yicheng took off his sunglasses.
"No, some have already come true."
"Then why..."
"I just wanted to test you," the old man said as he took out a yellowed piece of paper and set it on fire. "Last year's invasion by the Moon Internal Human has already explained everything. If the King of the Moonheart were not on Earth, they would not have dared to attack Earth."
Xu Yicheng asked, "Then... I received an email asking me to go to this address." Xu Yicheng pulled out the address he had written down in advance. "Do you know what this is about? I think if the sender knows about the Life Wand and the Stone Giant Clan, then this person should have some connection with you, right?"
"Your intuition and judgment are quite accurate, Dr. Xu," the old man said as he stood up, surprisingly almost as tall as the 1.8-meter Xu Yicheng. "That is my home address."
Xu Yicheng was so surprised that he didn't know what to say. At that moment, there were only two words in his mind: "Holy cow."
"Come with me, Dr. Xu," said the old man. "It's just a two-kilometer walk to my house. There, you will encounter more stories." The old man put away the gossip map and the bowl of money, and led Xu Yicheng away from there.
On the way, neither of them spoke, nor did they notice the three plainly dressed people behind them.
This is an alley full of fresh flowers. As you walk in, the fragrance hits you, and the flowers sway like elves, welcoming the arrival of the two people. The marble pillars on both sides and the white iron gate already show the luxury of this family. The old man opens the gate with facial recognition, and inside, the grass is as lush as can be. A pebble path leads straight to the mahogany door in front. In the middle of the courtyard sits a three-story villa in black and white.
Xu Yicheng couldn't understand: why would an elderly person from such a wealthy family still go out to beg for fortune-telling?
The elderly person led Xu Yicheng to the front door, where the sound of piano playing could be faintly heard from inside. The door opened, revealing a luxurious interior. Xu Yicheng quickly took off his shoes and left them outside the door, afraid of dirtying the floor inside. Looking up at the ink paintings on the wall and the surrounding vases, Xu Yicheng couldn't help but feel that there are always people beyond people, and realms beyond realms.
The piano music stopped. "Grandpa! Why are you back so early today?" a female voice came from upstairs.
"Ah! Good granddaughter! Grandpa brought a guest home today!"
"Guest?" Another male voice came from upstairs. Then, Xu Yicheng saw a teenage girl in a long dress and a middle-aged man in formal attire coming down.
"They must be father and daughter," Xu Yicheng thought.
The two walked up to their grandfather, who turned around and introduced them, saying, "This is my son and granddaughter. You should know my name."
"Song Mengxian?" Xu Yicheng asked.
"Well, that's my pen name, but you can just call me Mr. Song."
"Hey, isn't this..." The middle-aged man recognized Xu Yicheng.
Mr. Song stopped him and turned to say something. The middle-aged man looked at Xu Yicheng in surprise, nodded, and then took his daughter upstairs.
"Follow me," Mr. Song called to Xu Yicheng. Xu Yicheng followed Mr. Song to a wall adorned with decorations. The old man pressed a button on a stuffed doll fixed to the wall.
The wall opened up, slowly parting like automatic doors. Inside, the lights turned on one by one, leading downwards. Mr. Song took Xu Yicheng's hand and led him slowly down the stone steps.
At the end of the path was a basement, its walls adorned with photographs, and bookshelves filled with numerous books. Xu Yicheng walked up to one of the photos, which depicted children standing alongside the Stone Giant. In the picture, the children showed no fear; some even hugged the Stone Giant's leg. Xu Yicheng stared blankly at the photo, noticing that all the images featured the Stone Giant and humans.
Mr. Song gently touched the photographs on the wall and said, "These are almost all the photos about the Stone Man and humans. I won't go into the origins of the Stone Giant Clan; you should already know that." Xu Yicheng nodded. Mr. Song continued, "Three million years ago, when King Jenas led the Moonheart people back home, three of them volunteered to stay on Earth. They came to the human camp and helped ancient humans establish a primitive yet magnificent civilization. Of course, they would occasionally venture into the mountains to visit Yuan Zun, sharing stories of the human world and survival skills."
"They lived like this for several hundred years, during which one of them married a woman and had a child. This child is the beginning of our family."
Xu Yicheng asked in disbelief, "So, does your entire family have the bloodline of the Moon People?"
Mr. Song nodded, "That's right. Our family has maintained a very friendly relationship with Yuan Zun for generations. Yuan Zun has only one requirement for those who meet him: do not reveal your identity."
"As time passed, more and more stone men were born. The Stone Giant Clan is inherently gentle, with only one exception—the four-armed giant born six hundred thousand years ago. The Stone Giant Clan never actively disturbs human life; they reside underground to avoid frightening humans." They only protect the weak and do not participate in human wars. During the Anti-Japanese War, a village was driven into the mountains by invaders, and Yuan Zun, along with the Stone Giant Clan, took in these defenseless villagers. It was only after the invaders left that the villagers emerged from underground."
"The villagers were filled with gratitude, promising never to disclose the existence of the Stone Giant Clan. They are the ancestors of the current villagers of M Mountain Village..."
Mr. Song lit a cigarette and continued, "To this day, it is recorded in books that Yuan Zun realized the danger posed by the four-armed giant and hid the Life Wand in a corner of the mountains at the border of T City. However, I believe this decision was extremely wrong. Once the four-armed giant finds the Life Wand, who doesn't know what he will do with it? A new cycle has already begun."
