As an ordinary farmer's son in the late Eastern Han dynasty, only families with profound scholarly backgrounds would bestow a name and title upon their sons at the time of their coming of age. However, Dian Wei remained nameless, indicating that he had not received formal recognition in society. In other words, Dian Wei's family background did not understand this traditional custom of naming.

In an instant, Dian Wei drew his weapon from his cloak and swiftly killed both Li Yong and his wife. After completing his mission, he retrieved a short dagger from the cart and left calmly.
Despite Li Yong's house being located in a bustling area, the pursuit that followed was intense; hundreds chased after Dian Wei. Yet none could stop the strides of this formidable warrior, and he ultimately returned safely to the Chen Liu Kingdom in Yan Province.
However, having killed an appointed local official stirred significant repercussions, even prompting the emperor in the capital to issue a decree for his capture. Wanted posters were everywhere, and with Dian Wei’s towering stature of over two meters standing out like a crane among chickens, he became exceedingly conspicuous.
As a result, Dian Wei had no choice but to hide in the mountains for an extended period. Over time, the pressure from the manhunt gradually eased. Seizing this opportunity, Dian Wei found a chance to secretly return to his hometown to visit his parents.
At that moment, his mother was ill, and despite visiting numerous renowned doctors, she remained uncured. Coincidentally, Dian Wei heard that there was a great sage named Zhang Jiao in Ji Province who could use Fu Shui to heal any ailment. Driven by the urgency to save his mother, he decided to embark on a journey northward to seek Zhang Jiao's help, even though he harbored doubts about the success of this trip.
Unfortunately, his navigation skills were poor; he traveled tirelessly but never reached Julu. Meanwhile, his food supplies dwindled. As a fugitive, he found it difficult to enter the city to buy provisions. In this desperate situation, Dian Wei had no choice but to resort to robbery on the road to solve his hunger problem. He never intended to steal for wealth; he simply hoped to address his immediate need for food and return everything he took when circumstances allowed.
At this point, Dian Wei suddenly stood up and slapped his forehead, exclaiming, "Oh no! My mother is sick; I must hurry to find that great sage!" He then turned to the man beside him, Shen Ren, and asked, "Can you tell me how to get to Julu County?"
Zhu Ji, who was nearby, couldn't help but shake his head in disbelief at such a straightforward man who could defeat a son skilled in martial arts—truly, heaven was merciless! Observing all of this, Zhao Yun chuckled softly and said, "We are currently in Changshan Kingdom; it’s actually not far from Julu. Just head southeast for less than a hundred miles."
However, he did not immediately encourage Dian Wei but instead asked, "But are you sure you still want to go to Julu?"
Faced with the question, Dian Wei nodded firmly: "I must go; my mother is still waiting for Fu Shui to save her."

Without hesitation, Dian Wei replied confidently: "Of course not!"
Zhao Yun then pressed further: "Then why do you abandon the immortal right in front of you and seek help from someone far away? You still claim you’re not?"
Hearing this, Dian Wei suddenly felt ashamed and realized something profound. He thought to himself: The Great Immortal I have been desperately searching for is right here before me. Why am I still intent on traveling far away?
Thus, the large man abruptly knelt before Yun Xiao Yi.
Even so, his height was still nearly level with Yun Xiao Yi when standing.
"Please, Immortal Sir, lend a hand and save my mother. I am willing to serve you for eternity in return for your grace," he pleaded earnestly.
