Kill! Take them all down, leave no survivors. 0

Amidst the blizzard of slaughter, there were no rules of engagement, no moral ethics; it was simply a matter of eat or be eaten. For the next month, John and his thousands of subordinates feasted on warm flesh, their blades stained with blood. The entire secret realm was filled with enemies, save for their own. 0

What kept John’s group going was perhaps the fierce spirit within them. He carved a notch on a wooden plank he carried, grateful that they had survived another day. 0

Twenty-one days left, Annie. 0

John murmured his wife’s name and that of their child, his mind beginning to wander. 0

"My child’s name is..." 0

Suddenly, a figure approached, shivering and ragged—Kuiradi, frostbite covering his body. He staggered forward, hands trembling as he held out a plate of frozen wild fruits, carefully placing it before John. 0

"My lord, please try this! It’s fresh Wild Hawthorn! It tastes wonderful—both sour and sweet!" Kuiradi exclaimed, his frostbitten face breaking into a simple smile. 0

John looked closely at the plate; the few Wild Hawthorns appeared battered, but their vibrant red color made his mouth water. He hesitated for a moment before reaching out to pick one up and pop it into his mouth. 0

Instantly, a delightful blend of sourness and sweetness exploded in his mouth. John chewed slowly, savoring the rare delicacy. The hawthorn felt like the most exquisite dish in the world; he couldn’t bear to swallow it immediately but let it linger in his mouth to release its unique flavor gradually. Only when all the taste had faded did he reluctantly swallow it down, even keeping the seed inside rather than spitting it out. 0

Thus, John and Kuiradi shared the hawthorns from the plate, each taking turns to enjoy the fruit. Every bite was savored as if these small hawthorns contained endless happiness and satisfaction. Before long, the plate was empty. 0

After finishing, they leaned back against a nearby wooden post, gazing up at the clear blue sky with contented hearts. At that moment, John felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude; he could hardly believe that he would find such fulfillment from just a few hawthorns. Even when he first stepped into this mysterious realm, he had never felt so desperate. 0

"Kuiradi," he said softly, "do you feel like this secret realm is gradually shrinking?" 0

"Shrinking? Is that really happening?" Kuiradi blinked in confusion. 0

Seeing Kuiradi's expression made John feel envious. He often thought that if he could be as carefree as Kuiradi—if he could stop overthinking everything—perhaps life would be much easier for him. Unfortunately, he understood that with his personality, he would never be able to live as worry-free as Kuiradi did. 0

"Tell the brothers to stay alert these next few days; I have a feeling our time in this secret realm is coming to an end." 0

"Understood, my lord." Kuiradi clumsily stood up and hurried off to relay John's orders to the soldiers. 0

In the sky above, 0

I think it's time to gather these people together. Surviving in this wilderness day after day is dull; I want to see bloodshed instead—countless people drawing their blades for survival. 0

Ha! You think about cultivating the laws of slaughter; I just want to witness these people's fates and choices. 0
