"Who else is attending this banquet?" Tustin Butler hurriedly began to list the guests. He knew that John was a brother who had fought alongside his master on the battlefield, and as a butler, he couldn't afford to be careless.
"Honorable Knight John, we have Baron Hyde from Songlin Town, Baron Leon from Green Creek Town, and thirty knights."
"Oh, it seems I’m late. I can't keep my brother waiting." John quickly led Annie into the hall, two bodyguards following behind him carrying a box of gifts.
The banquet was filled with laughter and chatter as people raised their goblets, sharing stories and enjoying each other's company. Naturally, the center of attention was the three Barons.
Baron Heide of Pinewood Town looked at Redman with admiration. "No wonder you shone so brightly at the martial arts competition hosted by Marquis Duvas; you truly are remarkable."

"Indeed, we can’t compare to Redman Baron; we’re all getting old." A man who resembled Gao Cuilan's ex-husband chimed in. This must be Baron Leon from Green Creek Town—what a waste of such a name.
(Inner thoughts: Hmph, Heide has been keeping his mouth shut lately; why not poke fun at him? Ugh, it seems this alliance will still have to listen to this pretty boy. I just can't stand these good-looking fellows.)
The two laughed together, but they were also aware that their invitation was for the battle coming up in two months. After all, if any of their families were to participate in the fight, they wouldn’t have much confidence. Thus, they thought it wise to form an alliance before the war.
Redman spoke politely; he didn’t want to offend the two local powers too much. The influence of the White Family didn’t reach this far—distant waters couldn’t quench nearby thirst—so maintaining neighborly relations was more prudent.
"Let’s talk," both men readily agreed, but inwardly they were plotting how to become the leaders of the alliance. When that time came, they would hold the power to speak on matters of strength preservation and distribution of spoils.
"Knight John and his wife have arrived!" A voice called out, capturing everyone's attention in the banquet hall.
The other knights turned their gazes toward the entrance, whispering among themselves.
"Who is that? So grand, arriving so late."
"Indeed! Haven't you seen that the three Barons have been here for quite some time?"
"Oh, you don’t know? That’s the lucky one."
"Oh."
"Yes, that’s the chef—the one who became an Actual Knight."
"Ha, I told you this kind of guy is no good; he has no manners at all."
"Isn't that right? I heard he was just a Serf at first."
When Redman heard the conversation below, his expression changed. Damn it, his subordinates could speak for themselves, but who were these knights to talk about him like that?
However, Redman felt that John was not giving him face, and he was somewhat embarrassed. But he couldn't afford to lose his temper in this situation. Instead, Redman strode to the center and put down his wine cup to welcome John.
"Hahaha, Little John, you finally made it! Everyone, let me introduce my brother-in-law, John Stephen, the Actual Knight from Salty Fish Village."
The knights below hurriedly applauded. No matter how they had just mocked John, they now had to show respect for Redman and the White Family behind him.
