After all, the U.S. Government, in an effort to effectively sever ties with Germany, entrusted all trade with Germany to the Ma Hu Group. Thus, the workload for the ambassadors of Germany and the United States in China was essentially serving Thomas Mellon Rockefeller.

The German Ambassador to China, Tao Deman, adjusted his single-frame glasses and looked at Thomas Mellon Rockefeller.
"Mr. Tao Deman, let me address this issue," U.S. Ambassador to China Nelson interjected.
"Ambassador Nelson, please go ahead."
"The recent surge in your country's weapon orders has been too rapid. Our factories are operating at full capacity, with workers on two shifts every day. We have reached the maximum working limit of our factories. The working hours set by Mr. President for U.S. industry are limited, so any additional work will incur overtime pay. Once your orders are completed and production decreases, we will revert to normal hours."
"Ming Liao," Tao Deman replied, "please maintain this additional capacity. We are beginning to feel pressure from Europe; our weapons reserve plan cannot slow down."
"Understood, Mr. Tao Deman. I will ensure that the arms factory remains in overtime mode!"
"Now, let's move on to the next topic!"
"Wait!" Thomas Mellon Rockefeller interjected. "Gentlemen, you both can handle your accounts independently; why must I sit here and watch you two pretend to converse?"
Thomas Mellon Rockefeller was somewhat exasperated; it was clear that the two ambassadors could manage this matter without him being present, yet they insisted on his attendance when he could easily remain silent.
"General Thomas," one ambassador said, "the Führer specifically instructed me that all trade between our two countries must be personally confirmed by you before it can proceed! This is clearly stated in the Führer's telegram."
"Thomas the Envoy," the other added, "the President also specifically notified me that all trade between our country and Germany must be signed off by you to ensure that these orders enter the Ma Hu Group without discrepancies."
The two ambassadors seemed to be performing a duet, leaving Thomas Mellon Rockefeller feeling cornered.
He regretted taking the time to switch into Thomas Mellon Rockefeller's persona; he had hoped to discuss life's truths with Heidi but instead found himself watching two old men bicker.

In truth, both ambassadors were also at a loss; various orders and production data frequently arrived from their home countries and required real-time verification. A weekly meeting already consumed an entire day’s work; if they followed Thomas Mellon Rockefeller's suggestion of meeting monthly, they would accumulate an overwhelming amount of tasks!
"Mr. Thomas," one ambassador explained, "due to the sheer volume of data coming in from our country, we cannot compile everything at once. A weekly meeting already entails a significant workload!"
