Ye Xingchen turned his gaze towards Ye Tian and the other two. They were in a crucial stage of their cultivation, and if he interrupted them now, it could be detrimental.
Just as Ye Xingchen hesitated, the voice echoed in his mind again: "Bring them in; I can offer them a tremendous opportunity."
Ye Xingchen's expression shifted to one of astonishment. He did not deny the possibility that this voice might be false. Instead, he was consumed with speculation about who could have sent it and what their intentions were.
After a brief moment of contemplation, Ye Xingchen chose to trust the voice in his mind. He approached Ye Tian and the others, ending their cultivation abruptly.
Ye Tian, caught in the midst of his training, looked bewildered as Ye Xingchen interrupted him. "Ancestor Ye, what’s happening?"
"You have a great opportunity ahead of you; follow me," Ye Xingchen urged.
"Ah?" The three of them were momentarily stunned. An opportunity? One that belonged to them?
Without waiting for Ye Tian and the others to react, Ye Xingchen moved towards the door he had sensed. After exchanging glances with one another, Ye Tian and the others followed suit. After all, they were disciples of Ancestor Ye; there was no way he would deceive them.
Ying Ziyi looked at the door before her and softly asked, "Ancestor Ye, is the opportunity you mentioned behind this door?"
Ye Xingchen nodded affirmatively, confirming her inquiry.
The expressions of the three became increasingly excited as they looked at Ye Xingchen, hoping he would quickly open the door. Ye Xingchen, seeing their eager faces, smiled helplessly and pushed the door open.
A wave of ancient energy rushed towards them. Their gazes were fixed on what lay beyond the door—a circular disc adorned with intricate markings.
"You have finally arrived," a voice like thunder echoed from within.
Suddenly, the markings on the disc began to glow with brilliant light. As the light converged, the figure of an old man dressed in a yellow Daoist robe appeared before them.
Ye Xingchen looked at the old man and spoke his name: "Huang Long Shang Xian."
Indeed, the Void Shadow that had appeared was Huang Long Shang Xian. Upon seeing him, Ye Xingchen realized that the earlier transmission had come from Huang Long Shang Xian himself.
Huang Long Shang Xian's gaze swept over Ye Xingchen and his companions, and he spoke with a hint of melancholy, "My Cave has existed for over a thousand years, and in all that time, no one has ever set foot in it. You not only entered my Cave but also killed Huang Long."
His eyes turned icy as they focused on Ye Xingchen. Huang Long was a dragon he had subdued, the leader of the Huang Long Clan. After his demise, Huang Long had been placed in this Cave as a guardian beast. Under Huang Long's protection, nothing untoward had ever occurred in his Cave.
However, everything changed after Ye Xingchen and his companions arrived.
Ye Xingchen met Huang Long Shang Xian's piercing gaze without showing any signs of panic. "I assume you didn't summon me here to seek retribution," he said calmly.
After all, this Huang Long Shang Xian had mentioned offering opportunities to Ye Tian and the others. If he were truly seeking vengeance, he wouldn't have said such things. Thus, it seemed that retribution was out of the question.
Huang Long Shang Xian's expression changed, and he burst into laughter.
