The Doll Soldiers were momentarily surprised before they began to clap and cheer.

Quickly, a team of soldiers carried out jars of wine and roasted meat.
"Song General, how about we have a lively evening together?" Yan Kongyue had already noticed Lin Feng wanting to join the conversation and invited him accordingly.
"Sounds great! I couldn't ask for more!"
Everyone pitched in again, expanding their circle and lighting a bonfire.
"Let them move, we'll drink first!" Xiao Zhantian said as he picked up a jar of wine that had been moved out from Gui Yu and poured some for the Veterans.
"Oh dear, what era are we in?" The oldest Veteran exclaimed in disbelief, turning to the closest person, Huo Jingyu.

Upon hearing this, the uncle widened his eyes, his lips trembling slightly as he tried to say something but was too overwhelmed to speak.
"Is it really liberation?" A middle-aged man asked, his voice tinged with emotion.
"Yes, it’s truly liberation. Lao Xing is living a stable life now, the children have schools to attend, and our country is ranked among the top three in the world."
"Really? Is that true?"
"Yes, Uncle, it’s true! If you don’t believe me, look!" Huo Jingyu wiped away a tear from the corner of his eye and took out his phone to find a video of the National Day Parade.
"Look at this!" Huo Jingyu held the phone up for the uncle to see and waved to the other Veterans, inviting them to join in watching as well.
As the national anthem played, everyone fell silent. The Veterans and Doll Soldiers watched excitedly as one formation after another marched by on the screen. Even Song Chenghu and Xiao Zhantian were drawn in by the spectacle; however, their flames could disperse ghosts, so they stayed at a distance, hesitant to approach.
When the video ended, tears streamed down the faces of the Veterans. Though they were crying, their expressions were filled with joy.
