"Mom? Dad? Uncle? Big Brother? Why are you all here?" Lin Lang looked around in confusion at the people gathered around him.
"You scared your mother to death!"
"Second Uncle said you fainted on set. Did you know that?" Lin Lie's expression softened noticeably.
"I didn't know. I shot until early this morning and didn't get enough sleep before heading back to the set. I think I fell asleep while getting my makeup done!"

"Is the tattoo on you designed by the crew or was it the stylist's creative freedom?"
"The stylist said it was designed according to the storyline. Does my fainting have anything to do with the tattoo?"
Yan Kongyue nodded and then turned her gaze to the others. "This tattoo is a life-altering talisman called Nagi Soul Decision."
"The filming is almost wrapped up; we've done this several times before without any issues."
"Exactly! If something had gone wrong the first time, wouldn’t that have exposed the stylist?"
"True!"
"Also, Nagi Soul Decision isn't just a simple tattoo; it requires coordination from three parties: the main altar performing the ritual, the person drawing the symbols chanting spells, and the ink must include the blood of the recipient. All three must be done simultaneously."
"So that's why I fell asleep during makeup?"
"Is this stylist someone you know or from the crew?"
"He’s not a full-time stylist; he was brought in by the director specifically to do my tattoos!"
"That explains everything!"
Lin Ruyu was stunned, realizing that someone wanted her son's life. Tears streamed down her face in an instant.
"Mom, don't worry. We will definitely find out who is behind this!" Lin Zhuo said, wrapping his arm around Lin Ruyu's shoulders and comforting her softly.
"Second Aunt, you need to go out now, just like this, crying!"
"Huh?"
"We absolutely cannot let outsiders know that he has woken up!" Yan Kongyue said, tilting his chin toward Lin Lang.
Lin Ruyu stared blankly at Yan Kongyue, and soon she understood the implication. She nodded heavily; since her son was awake, catching the culprit wasn't her strong suit. With so many men in her family, she had little to worry about.
"Yan Kongyue is right. You should go to Lin Qian now!"
"Okay!"
"Mom, act naturally!"
"Stop talking nonsense. You're my son; can I possibly do worse than you?" Lin Ruyu shot a glance at Lin Lang.
"Mom, I'll see you off!"
"No need; the assistant should be outside!"
"Alright!" Lin Zhuo escorted Lin Ruyu to the door.
