"Here, this is a welcome gift from Uncle." Lin Jingyang had originally prepared a gift, but it seemed that a welcome present would be more readily accepted.
"Yan Kongyue, this is a small token from Auntie." Huo Jin slid a purple jade bracelet off his wrist and slipped it onto Yan Kongyue's hand.

"Good, good! This is your Uncle's welcome gift. Your Aunt still has more for you!" Lin Jingxuan also handed over a card, relieved to find a way to express gratitude to his savior without seeming distant.
"That's too much!" Yan Kongyue sincerely felt overwhelmed; she had never met anyone who handed out cards upon their first meeting!

The Lin family had three sons. The eldest, Lin Jingyang, had two sons: the eldest was Lin Lie and the younger was Lin Fang. Lin Lie was the current head of the Lin Family Yuen Group, while Lin Feng followed in his father's footsteps in martial arts.
Lin Jingxuan had three sons as well: Lao Linzhuo and the twin younger brothers, Lin Lang and Lao Wu. Lao Linzhuo was a criminal police officer, while the fourth brother, Lin Lang, was a popular Best Actor. Lao Wu also worked for the Lin Clan, managing their overseas business.
Lin Jingteng had two sons: Lao Liu and Lao Qi. Lao Liu studied traditional Chinese medicine under Jiang Laoyezi from the Nine Great Families, while Lao Qi was simply responsible for keeping everyone happy.
Indeed, it was a big family with not a single girl among them. The Lin Family Patriarch was missing a granddaughter, but now that seemed perfect.
Lin Old Master stroked his beard and smiled at Yan Kongyue with a face full of wrinkles.
Lin Jingteng felt both happy and awkward; he knew of Yan Kongyue's capabilities and wondered if his father’s actions might offend their savior.

"As long as you're happy!" Lin Jingteng instinctively rubbed his hands together. If their benefactor didn’t mind, he felt relieved.
"Yan Kongyue! Where are you staying? I heard you just arrived in the capital. Why not move in with the Lin Family? Aunt can have someone prepare a room for you right away." Aunt Huo Jin beamed as she held Yan Kongyue's hand affectionately.
"No need; I just found a temporary place to stay," she replied quickly. She remembered that house belonged to He Bin and thought his parents might come by soon to tidy it up. At that point, she wouldn’t be able to stay there anymore.
"Don't say temporarily! We have plenty of rooms in our house. Tonight, you should stay with Grandpa at the Lin Family!" Lin Old Man noticed that Yan Kongyue seemed hesitant to speak further. Not wanting to pry too much after accepting her as his granddaughter, he offered her sincere hospitality instead.
"Hey, Ru Yu! Come quickly! Dad has accepted a granddaughter who is absolutely beautiful; you’ll definitely like her! Hurry up! Big Sister has already given away her family heirloom bracelet!" Seeing how things were unfolding, Lin Jingxuan quickly called his wife who was traveling abroad.
