One of the Elders, Bai Xu, observed as all the disciples gathered and slowly stepped forward, his long robe billowing slightly. His deep-set eyes scanned the multitude of disciples in the square, and his voice resonated powerfully.
The Old Man was Feng Xiaotian, the Sixth Elder of the Heavenly Sword Sect, presiding over this Sect Examination. The rules were the same as in previous years: as long as one passed the Sect's light barrier test and met the age and cultivation requirements, they would receive a token allowing entry into the Sect's Monster Beast Secret Realm to begin hunting beasts for points. The token would register points upon slaying a beast.
Points were awarded as follows: one point for an Early Stage Tier Two Beast, five points for a Mid-Stage Second Tier Beast, ten points for a Late Stage Second Tier Beast, and twenty points for a Peak Tier Two Monster. For Third-Stage monsters, it was one hundred points for an Early Monster, five hundred points for a Mid-Level Beast, one thousand points for a Late Monster, and two thousand points for a Peak Level Three Beast. It was important to note that only beasts of Second Tier and above would register points.
The hunting period lasted only fifteen days. The top two thousand in points would pass the examination and become Outer Sect Disciples, while the top ten would be Inner Sect Disciples. The rewards were substantial: ten thousand Sect Points for first place, five thousand for second place, three thousand for third place, and one thousand each for those ranked fourth to sixth.
Hearing this announcement, the young men present were filled with astonishment. Looking around at the participants—at least eighty thousand disciples—they realized that only two thousand would be accepted. The acceptance rate was shockingly low, making this examination truly fierce.
Yun Yan, Yun Tian, and Yun Ding displayed grave expressions, clearly worried about the low acceptance rate. With their current cultivation levels, it would be difficult for them to pass the examination and enter the Sect.
Feng Xiaotian's voice rang out once more!

Most of the creatures here were Second-Stage Beasts and Third-Order Beasts, specifically for the disciples of the Sect to hunt during their trials.
At that moment, the trees ahead rustled slightly, and a mid-level Qi Yan Hu of the Second Tier opened its massive jaws, revealing sharp fangs as it lunged toward Yun Fan.
