Liuli stood beside the wall, gazing at some inscriptions with increasing astonishment in her beautiful eyes. Slowly, she spoke up.
"I finally know the identity of the owner of this Cave."
Upon hearing her voice, Yun Fan hurried over. Liuli's voice came again.
"The owner of this Cave is named Chen Ji Nu. She emerged from the Great Qin Kingdom two thousand years ago. Lin Jun, her mother, was merely a courtesan who sold her art but not her body. Unfortunately, she caught the eye of a talented young man from the Wang family in the city, Wang Long. He defiled her, and she unexpectedly became pregnant, giving birth to Chen Ji Nu."
However, Wang Long, proud of his status and somewhat disdainful of the courtesan's identity, could not possibly bring his child back to his home. Instead, he found a random courtyard in the city for them to live in. Soon after, he married another woman. This new wife was malicious and cruel, constantly targeting Chen Ji Nu and her mother. Not only did she make them work hard every day, but she also often beat and scolded them, which ultimately led to Chen Ji Nu's mother passing away from exhaustion.
With her mother gone, Chen Ji Nu felt no attachment left and set out on her own. Unexpectedly, within just ten years of being alone and vulnerable, she became a formidable force. Upon returning home, she directly killed that wicked woman who had oppressed her and her mother and incapacitated her irresponsible father, completely severing ties with the Wang family.
Chen Ji Nu then began her rise as a prodigy. In just a few decades, she broke through to the Divine Ability Realm. Even the Da Qin royal family treated her with great respect, referring to her as Chi Long Zun Zhe. Afterward, she vanished from sight, seemingly leaving the Great Qin Kingdom to explore the outside world. Little did anyone know that she had built this Cave here.
After hearing this information, Yun Fan was utterly astonished. He had not expected that Chi Long Zun Zhe had such a tragic youth but possessed an indomitable spirit that made her a figure of great renown.
In an instant, Yun Fan's resolve strengthened; he vowed to become a strong individual himself.
Liuli sighed deeply; this piece of history was something she had learned by chance as well. She never imagined that this place was actually Chi Long Zun Zhe's Cave.
Glancing at Yun Fan beside her, she slightly parted her lips and murmured, "Men are truly unreliable."
Hearing this, Yun Fan couldn't help but curl his lip; it seemed he hadn't provoked her at all yet ended up being portrayed as a heartless man.
The two began to search carefully within the palace.
Soon, they saw some items displayed on the high platform, along with a portrait of a handsome man. He had sword-like brows and starry eyes, with his hands resting behind him and a calm smile on his face. This must be the portrait of the Chi Long Zun Zhe.
Although it appeared rather ordinary, the figure in the painting exuded an overwhelming presence, as if he were a powerful being standing atop a mountain, gazing down upon the entire world. Yun Fan stared at it for a moment and felt something magical about the portrait; the man's features seemed to blur, making it impossible to see clearly.
Thinking there might be an issue with his eyesight, he turned to Liuli beside him. However, she too could not discern the man's appearance in the painting. A sense of unease crept into Yun Fan's heart as he felt that this portrait seemed almost alive. If the Chi Long Zun Zhe was indeed not dead, then he would be an ancient being who had lived for two thousand years, possessing terrifying strength.
The two dared not gaze at the portrait any longer and instead shifted their attention to the items surrounding the high platform. There were two jade slips and a small vial placed atop it. Yun Fan and Liuli's breaths quickened; these must be the treasures and legacies left behind by the Chi Long Zun Zhe.
They immediately began to examine them. One of the jade slips contained a foundational cultivation method known as the Red Dragon Heart Sutra. The other slip was a manual titled Red Dragon Three Mysteries Transformation.
