The two were simply no match for their opponents and could only find a way to temporarily evade the danger. Thus, they continued to sprint along the path, charging headlong into any forks they encountered.
After an unknown amount of time, the sounds from behind gradually faded away. They found a dimly lit spot and began to absorb the surrounding Heaven and Earth Spiritual Energy to restore their strength. After all, in this perilous Cave, lacking strength would mean certain death if they encountered enemies.
After a brief period of absorption, both had regained a significant amount of power. Sitting cross-legged nearby, Liuli looked at Yun Fan with gratitude shining in her beautiful eyes, her soft voice breaking the silence.
"Thank you, Yun Fan."
Upon hearing this, a smile crept onto Yun Fan's face as he waved his hand dismissively.
"It’s nothing much. Just give me a little more reward when we reach the Treasure Pavilion."
Liuli's fair cheeks showed a hint of surprise. She had thought that this young man saved her out of compassion for her plight, but it turned out to be for monetary gain. However, this was also reassuring; it meant she could trust him more. After all, being alone in this Cave with a man made her wary of what he might do.
Once they had fully recovered, they stood up and continued down the dim path. Occasionally, they would engage in casual conversation, their relationship growing more familiar and shedding the earlier sense of strangeness.
Liuli held Yun Fan in high regard; he was calm and collected, with a meticulous mind. She believed his future achievements would be remarkable. Yun Fan also thought well of Liuli; despite her noble status and extraordinary background, she did not act aloof or superior.
Thus, they journeyed forward for several days until they arrived outside a grand hall. However, before them stood a massive stone door that blocked their way.
Yun Fan pushed against the door but found it immovable. With a wry smile, he said slowly, "It seems we can't get through; we'll have to turn back."
Liuli studied the stone door closely and noticed a groove in front of it, her face lighting up with surprise.
He immediately took out a plate from the Storage Ring. It was the same size as the groove, and he proceeded to embed it into place. The stone door trembled slightly and began to slowly open to both sides.
Yun Fan watched this scene with surprise, not expecting that Liuli had a plate as well. Did he already know about the things inside this Cave? Seeing Yun Fan's astonishment, Liuli smiled and explained, "Don't misunderstand; I found this plate on the high platform of that grand hall just now. I thought it must be something important, so I put it in my Storage Ring."
Upon hearing this, Yun Fan responded with a slight "oh" and entered alongside Liuli. However, just as they stepped inside, there was a sudden click, and the stone door slammed shut, leaving no chance for either of them to react.
Yun Fan felt a sense of dread. If there were no other exits in this grand hall, they could very well perish here. After all, even with all his strength, he couldn't budge the stone door; even a strong practitioner from the Diyuan Realm would find it difficult to break through.
A hint of panic arose in both their hearts, but they managed to suppress it and scanned the grand hall for any other exits. They soon discovered that this hall was somewhat different from the others; it contained a bedroom and some washing supplies, and the walls were adorned with exquisite calligraphy and paintings. Could this have been the residence of someone who lived in this Cave?
Yun Fan's breathing quickened involuntarily, his eyes gleaming with excitement. Surely the most precious treasures were located here; if he could find them, he would strike it rich.
