Hui Yan Master gathered several Formation Masters to begin deciphering the barrier before them. However, after several hours, there was still no sign of progress; the barrier remained as solid as a mountain.
Anxiety began to creep into their hearts. After all, no one knew if those cloaked figures would track them down to this place. If that happened, not only would they fail to obtain the medicinal treasures, but they would also find themselves in grave danger.
Hui Yan Master glanced over at Yun Fan, who was sitting nearby in meditation. A glint of malice flickered in his eyes. This kid was still here, seemingly intent on competing with them for the treasures.
As he pondered this, an idea struck him. Although Yun Fan was merely a Second-Rank Array Master, he possessed knowledge that surpassed theirs, especially when it came to seeing through the Linked Formation at a glance. If they could get this kid to break the barrier, perhaps there was a chance.
Hui Yan Master immediately stood up, a smile gracing his face as he spoke softly. "Kid, do you have any way to open this barrier? If you can break it, we'll share the treasures with you."
Yun Fan, sitting cross-legged in meditation, revealed a faint smirk upon hearing this but made no move to respond.
Hui Yan Master's expression darkened slightly; this kid was ignoring him. After contemplating for a moment, his smile grew even brighter. "If you can open it, we are willing to give you half."
Upon hearing this, Yun Fan slowly withdrew from his meditation and looked at the group with indifference. "I can open this barrier, but I want five-tenths of the treasures."
The faces of the Formation Masters darkened at his words, filled with dissatisfaction. This kid was truly asking for too much—demanding half of their resources.
Yet Hui Yan Master's smile did not fade. He exchanged glances with the other Formation Masters, and their displeasure quickly dissipated as they nodded with smiles.
"We agree," they said. "As long as you can open this barrier, we will give you five-tenths."
They all secretly thought that once the barrier was opened, they could decide how much to give him. A few trifles would suffice to placate him. After all, he was merely at the True Essence Realm; they could easily handle him. If he dared to show any dissatisfaction in front of them, they could simply eliminate him.
Yun Fan observed their eagerness and felt a hint of mockery in his heart. He understood exactly what these people were planning.
Just as he intended, he would take this opportunity to break the barrier quickly and loot everything inside before making his escape. The longer he stayed, the more dangerous it became. If those cloaked figures surrounded them, escaping would require considerable effort.
