This was why many powerful individuals dared not enter Thundercloud Valley—they feared being obliterated by the formation. The token in Yun Fan's possession was the core of this formation, allowing him to move freely without being struck by lightning.
As he delved deeper into the intricacies of formations, Yun Fan grew increasingly impressed with his Bargain Master. Just by dedicating a little time to studying formations, he had reached the level of a Fifth Level Formation Master—his talent truly was remarkable.
A month passed quietly, and Yun Fan became more adept at formations, now capable of arranging a First-Grade Superior Defensive Formation. However, the time it took him to set it up was still quite slow; it required half an hour, far from the swift execution he aspired to achieve.
Yet, Yun Fan remained undeterred. Having successfully arranged a First Level superior formation gave him confidence that he could gradually set up Second-Order Formations and attain the rank of Second-Rank Array Master. He lacked the materials needed for Second-Order Formations and would need to visit the Treasure Pavilion to purchase some.
It was also a good opportunity to buy Monster Cores for his cultivation, hoping to break through sooner. Although he hadn’t actively trained over the past month, his cultivation had steadily improved and he had reached the mid-to-late stage of True Essence Realm Level Four. If he continued at this pace, he should be able to break through to Level Five within two months.
However, Yun Fan felt this progress was too slow and planned to absorb the pure spiritual energy from Monster Cores for a quicker breakthrough. Stepping out of his room, he looked at the brilliant sunlight shining down on the courtyard and smiled.
He then donned a straw hat and a black robe, concealing himself completely. Moments later, he arrived outside the Treasure Pavilion.
The business at Treasure Pavilion was bustling as usual, filled with people coming and going in a lively atmosphere. Especially in Dongyang County City, near the Desolate Mountain Range, many cultivators and mercenary groups entered the mountains to gather resources and brought them back to sell at Treasure Pavilion.
Upon entering the Treasure Pavilion, Yun Fan was promptly greeted by a respectful maid, who seemed unfazed by his all-black attire. Yun Fan's calm voice responded, "I want to purchase a large quantity of Second-Stage Beasts."
Hearing this, the maid's eyes sparkled with delight. She bowed slightly and immediately led the way ahead, guiding him to a private room on the second floor.
As Yun Fan stepped inside, he was somewhat surprised to find that it was the same stunning woman from before. However, he dismissed any further thoughts; after all, he had disguised himself thoroughly under his black robe, and surely she wouldn't recognize him.
