Wan Fei laughed unabashedly in the barbershop at Liu Sen, and I wanted to tell him to stop making fun of Liu Sen. Liu Sen wasn't feeling great either; after all, he was a person too! I could laugh as well! Unable to hold back, I joined in the laughter, and even Zheng Yu, who usually kept to himself, burst out laughing. It was hard not to when Liu Sen looked so ridiculous.
Liu Sen's expression darkened gradually, becoming increasingly sullen. "You bastard! I'll pull out all your hair!" he shouted angrily.
Wan Fei jumped up in fright and ran away. I sighed helplessly, rubbing my aching stomach from laughing too much. After settling the bill at the barbershop, I left with Liu Zi and Zheng Yu. As we exited, we saw Liu Sen holding Wan Fei down and pulling his hair, causing Wan Fei to scream and drawing the attention of several passersby.
“Dong Ge! What the hell are you doing? Enough already! Dong Ge! You need to stop him!” Wan Fei cried for help. Taking a deep breath to suppress my laughter, I stepped in front of Liu Sen and Wan Fei to put an end to this chaos.
Time was running short; it was almost time for East District. After wrapping things up, we each drove over to East District. The headquarters of Tian Ye Group was located in Central District, while the Kyoto Headquarters was in East District. Every meeting held by Kyoto Headquarters took place in East District, and as the only elder here, Zheng Yu knew the location well.
The meeting venue was a high-end club similar to our Southern District's. Under Zheng Yu's guidance, I entered a conference room that wasn't too large, where about a dozen people were seated. However, I didn't see Miss Fang among them.
“South District Boss! Brother Six is here!” With the doorman's announcement, everyone in the room turned their attention toward us. Each person's expression varied—some looked warm and welcoming while others were icy cold.
Of course, Liu Haoran, the Northern District Boss, regarded me with a frosty stare.
“Oh! So this is Xiang Fengzi from Southern District? Haha! It's a pleasure to finally meet you!” A man with a bushy beard stood up and greeted me with hearty laughter. He recognized me immediately. I was taken aback—Xiang Fengzi? When did I acquire such an unrefined nickname?
“Cut the nonsense! Who are you calling Xiang Fengzi?” I asked, refusing to accept that title.
“Oh? Haha! Brother Xiang, don’t be so formal! I’ve just heard that it’s a compliment—a way of praising you,” the bearded man said with a grin. I scoffed; praise? What nonsense!
“It’s about your heroic deeds! You dared to challenge Chen—I'm not even going to mention that one person who single-handedly took on Dynamite to rescue his girlfriend! That’s crazy!” The bearded man continued laughing heartily.
I chuckled at that; yes, he was indeed complimenting me there. “And you are?”
“I’m Northwest Tiger from West District!” he said cheerfully while extending his broad hand toward me. I couldn’t help but smile; Northwest Tiger? What a ridiculously rustic name! Isn’t Xiang Fengzi a bit more appealing?
I smiled and responded a couple of times when, at that moment, Liu Haoran spoke up.
“Liu Lao Da, why don’t you take a seat now that you’re here? Please, take the honored position!” Liu Haoran gestured to Liu Zi. Of course, Liu Zi taking over my spot was something I figured these seasoned veterans were already aware of.
Otherwise, why would Northwest Tiger be so warm towards me? It was simply because he valued my identity as South District Boss, seeing me as someone who could help him contend with the Northeast District.
“Dong Ge, please take a seat,” Liu Zi said respectfully. He usually didn’t treat me with such deference; this was merely a show of attitude.
Isn’t that inappropriate? Only the boss should sit in the honored position. What qualifications do you have, Xiang Dong?
Liu Haoran didn’t speak up; it was East District Boss who should have said something. He looked to be in his forties, with a prominent scar across his face that made him somewhat intimidating.
I’m not a child! Are you trying to scare me?
“Alright, West Lao Da, please take a seat,” I said with a smile to Northwest Tiger before sitting down in what they called the honored position. It was just a matter of being a bit closer to the front.
Honestly, if Liu Haoran and the others hadn’t been chattering away, I could have followed the rules and sat further back. But since they were making such a fuss? No way! I’m sitting here; what are you going to do about it?
Bang!
Just as I settled in, Liu Haoran suddenly slammed his hand on the table! Damn it! That startled me! Was this some kind of joke? Did I just bounce up like an idiot? Wasn’t that quite embarrassing?
“Xiang Dong, what do you think you are?”
I shot back without hesitation, grabbing a glass of water beside me and splashing it right in Liu Haoran’s face! Damn it! What’s with all this chatter? I had to make my presence known!
“How dare you splash me?”
Liu Haoran was completely stunned! His eyes widened as I chuckled.
“Liu Laoda, have you lost your memory? Don’t talk back to me, or next time I won’t just splash water on you; I’ll bring Dynamite to pay you a visit.”
I sneered as I reminded him, “You think being a district boss means anything? When I was a district boss, didn’t I handle Qian Cun Jin? Didn’t I send Chen to prison?”
“You—”
“Stop talking back! Let me tell you, Xiang Brother has quite the temper; he can really back up his words.”
Northwest Tiger chimed in adorably to support me. I laughed and played along, putting on an arrogant smile. “Did you hear that? Bad temper! Don’t mess with me, got it?”
Damn it!
Liu Haoran was about to explode with anger! I knew very well that my act was infuriating him; but what could he do about it?
“What are you going to do?”
Liu Sen stepped forward!
His forehead darkened with fury! Although it looked somewhat comical, he was radiating menace!
“Xiang Dong! You better wait for me! When Miss Fang arrives, let’s see if you can still act so tough!”
Liu Haoran pointed at me angrily.
Even though he brought people with him, he didn't dare to make a move against me here. Didn't the Northwest Tiger say it? I'm a madman! Today is Miss Fang's succession ceremony! He wouldn't dare cause trouble; I certainly don't fear it!
Damn, isn't it just that he can't do anything to me?
I smirked slightly. Brother Underworld, you need to act like a Brother Underworld!
Arrogant!
That's right, just badass!
What the hell can you do about it?
At that moment, a woman's voice suddenly rang out from outside.
What is going on here?!
Miss Fang's furious shout echoed as she walked in! Liu Haoran immediately shivered and quickly stood up, respectfully saying, "Miss Fang."
"Miss Fang."
"Miss Fang."
"Miss Fang."
Then everyone else stood up respectfully as well, including me. Normally, when Miss Fang arrives, the doorman should have notified us in advance.
Miss Fang is here; why didn't you inform us?
Liu Haoran immediately questioned the doorman. Before the doorman could respond, Miss Fang opened her cherry lips to speak.
"Liu Laoda, if the doorman had notified me, how could I have witnessed your internal struggle?" she said coldly, swaying her petite figure as she took her seat at the head of the table, her pretty face full of pride! A woman like this easily ignites a man's desire to conquer!
Uh, we don't dare to offend Miss Fang; it's just that Tang Xiangdong from Southern District Tiger Hall doesn't understand the rules and insists on—
Bang!
Before Liu Haoran could finish his sentence, Miss Fang slammed her hand on the table with an angry expression! Damn it! She's about to explode; clearly, her ire was directed at Liu Haoran!
Isn't it an honor that Miss Fang is losing her temper over my matter? It seems like she's on my side!
Looking at Liu Haoran's bewildered face, I couldn't help but feel one thing—satisfaction! Damn it, you thought you could report me? You’ve bitten off more than you can chew!
