Gu Si Yi brought Wu Yunyun to the most famous Lobster House in Dijing City and reserved a private room. He ordered a Family Set Meal, which included lobsters of all flavors.
Wu Yunyun sat on the sofa and looked at Gu Si Yi. "How about I peel the shrimp for you later?"
Gu Si Yi raised an eyebrow, thinking that such tasks were typically meant for men. "But in return, you have to tell me a secret."
Wu Yunyun nervously spoke up, eager to know more about him.
Gu Si Yi, however, appeared generous. "Sure, I have no secrets in front of you."
When the lobsters arrived, Wu Yunyun eagerly put on gloves and peeled a few for Gu Si Yi. He ate them with delight, nodding repeatedly. "The ones my treasure peels are just delicious."
After ten minutes of peeling, Wu Yunyun could no longer keep it up. The rest was left for Gu Si Yi to finish.
Wu Yunyun's appetite was whetted, and she felt nearly full. Leaning back against her chair, she finally asked the question that had been on her mind: "Gu Si Yi, how long have you liked me?"
Previously, she had hesitated to ask, knowing she had little chance of success.
Gu Si Yi turned to her, gazing deeply into her eyes. "Since Chu San," he replied. "It's been thirteen years now."
"And you? When did you realize?"
"The day I was going to break up with you," Gu Si Yi said, his tone tinged with regret. "I thought I would forget you."
But the truth was, he hadn’t been able to.
Wu Yunyun opened her mouth but didn’t know what to say. Yet she understood that this was something he could indeed do. After all, back then he was full of vigor, with many girls waiting in line for him to break up.
"Every time I thought of you, I would draw a picture of you and imagine what you were doing. Now your pictures fill my entire room," Gu Si Yi continued before self-deprecatingly adding, "Perhaps this is just heaven's punishment for me giving you up willingly."
Wu Yunyun stood up and embraced Gu Si Yi tightly. "I didn’t know anything until you told me."
Gu Si Yi wrapped his arms around her waist. "From now on, we need to express our love in a timely manner."
"I love you, Gu Si Yi."
These words, in truth, I have not forgotten you either.
Wu Yunyun murmured, feeling a sense of relief as she spoke the words that had previously been so difficult to express.
After she finished speaking, she felt the grip around her waist tighten.
Actually, I am afraid—afraid that you will abandon me again. From this moment on, I am no longer afraid. Wu Yunyun confessed once more.
"Wu Yunyun, I love you too."
Gu Si Yi pulled Wu Yunyun onto his lap and kissed her directly on the lips.
At that moment, both of them finally opened their hearts completely to each other.
After a while, Wu Yunyun hugged him tightly and stopped. She covered her stomach and said, "Gu Si Yi, I feel like I've eaten too much."
"Hmm, if I get fat in the future, will you still like me?"
Wu Yunyun thought that her quality of life would surely take a significant leap forward from now on.
With how much she loved to eat, it would be strange if she didn't gain weight.
"As long as it's you, Wu Yunyun, I will always like you," Gu Si Yi replied with a smile in his brown eyes.
"Will you take me to your studio? I want to record it myself."
This was his way of showing his love for her.
Gu Si Yi agreed.
In the studio lay all his thoughts; after she saw them, she would feel much more at ease.
Many people from the outside world, including her, thought he was a sweet catch, but only he knew that inside, his heart was barren.
Only when she was there did he truly feel alive.
