As Ling Xue stepped out of the Siam Illusion Realm, a whirlwind of sensations enveloped her, and she found herself in the real world. The familiar yet strange scenery momentarily disoriented her, as memories of her past life here flooded her mind. Those ordinary days she once experienced now felt incredibly precious.
The streets were still bustling with people coming and going, cars weaving through the traffic, and the noisy atmosphere of the mundane world hit her like a wave. Unlike the fantastical colors and constant battles of the Siam Illusion Realm, there was no aura of spiritual energy here, no gleaming magical artifacts; everyone was busy chasing after the necessities of life—food, fame, and fortune.
While Ling Xue was lost in thoughts about this seemingly familiar reality, a sudden loud and urgent call broke through her reverie: "Ling Yu! Ling Yu!" The voice seemed to carry a strange power that shattered the stillness around her. Just then, everything went black. Ling Xue felt a wave of dizziness wash over her, and when she regained her senses, she found herself submerged in water, icy coldness enveloping her body as her consciousness gradually became clearer.
Ling Yu struggled with all his might to break free from that illusory world. As he did, the illusions around him vanished like bubbles. Slowly opening his eyes, he felt a heavy fog in his head and an overwhelming weakness in his body. As his vision cleared, he realized he was lying on a hospital bed, connected to various tubes and monitors that beeped rhythmically, their sounds piercing through the quiet room.
At that moment, the door swung open abruptly. His parents rushed in, their faces etched with anxiety and worry; their eyes were red-rimmed as if they had been on the verge of tears outside.
As soon as his mother saw the frail Ling Yu on the bed, she hurried to his side, trembling hands gently grasping his. Her voice quivered with emotion as she said, "Oh my child, you’re finally awake! You scared us to death! If anything happened to you… how would we live?" Tears streamed down her cheeks like heavy raindrops.
His father quickly leaned closer. Usually calm and composed, his voice trembled slightly as he asked, "Son, how do you feel? You’ve been unconscious for several days; it’s been agonizing for the whole family. The doctors have been doing everything they can to save you."
Ling Yu looked at his parents' worried expressions and wanted to comfort them with a few words. However, his throat was parched and dry; he could only manage a weak whisper after much effort: "I’m fine." Though he said this, he knew deep down that his experience of nearly drowning had been too bizarre. His body was still very weak; he just didn’t want to worry his parents further.
A doctor entered the room with a serious expression, holding a stack of examination reports. He glanced at the frail Ling Yu and his anxious parents before speaking slowly: "Ling Yu's situation after falling into the water is quite unusual. After thorough examination and analysis, we discovered that there seemed to be an unknown radiation source in the water at that time. Upon exposure to it, Ling Yu's body underwent significant changes."
Upon hearing this, Ling Yu's parents widened their eyes in disbelief. His mother quickly asked, "Doctor, what do you mean? What kind of significant change?"
The doctor sighed softly, looking somewhat helpless as he explained: "The effects of this radiation on the human body exceed our previous understanding. Based on current examinations, Ling Yu's physiological characteristics are gradually shifting towards those typically associated with females. In other words… Ling Yu is becoming a woman." This was an extremely rare and complex situation that we are still investigating further to see if there are ways to address or adjust these changes.
After several days of hospitalization and observation for recovery, Ling Yu's condition finally stabilized enough for discharge. Once all formalities were completed at the hospital, Ling Yu stepped out into the fresh air outside and took a deep breath as if trying to cast away all the shadows of recent events.
Back home, Ling Yu sat quietly at her desk for a long time in contemplation. She understood that the person she once was had vanished along with that accident in the water. With such a profound transformation in her body now taking place, life would undoubtedly begin anew.
Thus, she made a decision: she would take on a new name—Ling Xue—symbolizing purity and strength like snowflakes. She resolved to face her future life with a fresh perspective.
Following this decision, Ling Xue began processing all necessary paperwork for changing her identity documents. Although it was somewhat tedious, each step completed intensified her feelings of bidding farewell to the past and welcoming new beginnings. When she finally held her brand-new identification card in hand, she knew she was now truly Ling Xue—a complete woman.
Standing before the mirror, she carefully examined her reflection. The woman staring back had fair and delicate skin with an unusual softness in her features; her lips were slightly rosy while long black hair cascaded down like a waterfall over her shoulders. Her figure exuded gracefulness that showcased femininity’s gentleness and allure.
Ling Xue gazed at herself in the mirror with an involuntary smile creeping onto her lips; satisfaction gleamed in her eyes. She thought to herself that since fate had led her into this unique chapter of life, she would live it splendidly and write an extraordinary story belonging solely to Ling Xue.
