They decided to first look into the work situation of the woman's husband and then track his whereabouts after work to find out where he went.

She saw them being very intimate, exchanging smiles that suggested a close relationship. Ling Xue swiftly took photos of their meeting as preliminary evidence. However, just as she was about to leave, she suddenly felt someone watching her from the shadows, which made her uneasy.
Despite this, Ling Xue did not allow her unease to affect her. She narrowed her eyes slightly, vigilantly scanning her surroundings while silently planning her next move. To gain deeper insight into their relationship, Ling Xue again used Thousand Faced Illusion to transform her Avatar into an employee of the Client's Husband's company to get closer to him. During their conversations, she learned that the Client's Husband had not been busy at work recently but often made excuses to leave early, appearing unusually cheerful as if he were in love.
Ling Xue skillfully guided the conversation to extract more information while showcasing her wit and intelligence. Next, she transformed her Thousand Faced Illusion into a waiter at the restaurant where the Client's Husband and Suspected Mistress frequently dined. She witnessed them feeding each other in the restaurant, their eyes filled with affection. Ling Xue took more photos and collected some items they left behind, preparing to use Soul Capturing Light for long-distance control.
When she returned to her office, she was shocked to find that the evidence she had collected had vanished without a trace, leaving only a Mysterious Note warning: "Mind your own business." Ling Xue stared at the note with a determined smile on her lips. She was not someone who could be easily intimidated. She began analyzing the handwriting and any clues left behind in an attempt to uncover the identity of the mysterious person.
Ling Xue decided to continue her investigation with even greater caution. She transformed again using Thousand Faced Illusion, this time as a reporter visiting the Client's Husband's company for an interview. During her investigation, she unexpectedly sensed that there were hidden secrets within the company. After delving deeper, Ling Xue was shocked to uncover that the Client's Husband's company was involved in illegal business activities and that the Suspected Mistress was actually an undercover agent sent by Competitors.
Ling Xue hurriedly informed the Client of this startling discovery. The Client was left speechless with shock; she never imagined that her husband could be embroiled in such trouble. Ling Xue resolved to help the Client's Husband out of this predicament while continuing to investigate whether he truly had an affair. As the investigation deepened, suspense and twists unfolded continuously.
Using Soul Capturing Light, Ling Xue gained access to the Suspected Mistress's phone and discovered communication records between her and Competitors. It turned out that the Suspected Mistress had been sent by Competitors to get close to the Client's Husband in order to obtain business secrets. The Client's Husband did not have an affair; he was merely being manipulated by the Suspected Mistress.
With evidence in hand, Ling Xue approached the Client again. Upon seeing it, tears streamed down the Client's face. She felt relieved that her husband had not cheated but worried about his predicament. "Please do not be too sad; now that we know the truth, we can think of ways together to help your husband out of this situation," Ling Xue comforted her. The Client decided to collaborate with Ling Xue to help her husband through this crisis.
Ultimately, Ling Xue and the Client found the Client's Husband together and revealed the truth of the situation to him. The Client's Husband was deeply grateful and decided to stand by his wife’s side to resolve their company's issues together. Ling Xue successfully completed her commission, filled with satisfaction.
Throughout this process, Ling Xue also uncovered the identity of the mysterious person: they were an assassin sent by Competitors tasked with stopping Ling Xue’s investigation and protecting the Suspected Mistress’s identity. However, thanks to Ling Xue’s intelligence and skills, she successfully evaded the assassin’s pursuit and helped resolve the issues faced by the Client's Husband’s company.
