During the university exams, Ling Yu demonstrated exceptional intelligence and performed remarkably well. After the exams, Ling Yu discovered that the system had temporarily suspended any new missions. He began to contemplate the previous task related to Ling Xue's special identity.
However, this mission required him to travel to the Fusang Kingdom. Ling Yu fell into deep thought, uncertain about what awaited him in Fusang Kingdom. Yet, he understood that to complete the mission, he had to take this brave step forward.
Since the system tasks could only be undertaken by Ling Xue, Ling Yu reluctantly switched to the Female Body state of Ling Xue. Before departing, Ling Xue shared a heartfelt farewell with Ling Na and the children. She knelt down gently and embraced the children, saying softly, "My dears, Mommy has to go to a very far place to take care of something important. You must listen to Aunt Ling Na and behave while I’m away."
The children nodded with a mix of understanding and reluctance in their eyes. Standing up, Ling Xue looked at Ling Na with tears glistening in her eyes. "Ling Na, I’m entrusting the children to you during this time. I will return as soon as I complete my mission."
Ling Na firmly grasped Ling Xue's hand and replied, "Don’t worry; I will take good care of the children. You must pay attention to your safety and face any challenges bravely."
Ling Xue nodded vigorously, took one last look at the children, and resolutely set off on her journey to Fusang Kingdom. Her heart was filled with both anxiety and anticipation for the mission, as well as sorrow for leaving her family behind.
As she boarded the plane to Fusang Kingdom, she received a notification from the system indicating a change in mission location: Fusang Kingdom, Shinkawa Prefecture. Upon arriving in Shinkawa Prefecture, Ling Xue immediately sensed the unique cultural atmosphere here. The streets were lined with ancient temples intertwined with modern architecture, deepening her curiosity about this mission.
Following the system’s guidance, she found a quiet inn where she prepared to begin her investigation for the mission. As night fell, Ling Xue silently prayed for a smooth start to her task so that she could reunite with her family soon.
The mission information updated again, instructing her to find a person named Fuji Nakai in Shinkawa Prefecture; he was a key figure in initiating this mission. Ling Xue understood that meeting Fuji would be an important step in unraveling the mysteries of her task in Fusang Kingdom.
In the stillness of night, she lay in bed with countless thoughts swirling in her mind—both nervousness and excitement filled her heart as dawn approached.
The next morning, Ling Xue organized her belongings and stepped out of the inn with a mix of anxiety and anticipation. The streets of Shinkawa Prefecture appeared particularly tranquil in the morning light. Following the clues provided by the system, she navigated through winding alleys in search of Fuji.
Every footprint carried her longing for family and desire for success in her mission. Soon enough, she arrived at an old-fashioned door adorned with a sign that read "Fuji Office." Taking a deep breath, she gently knocked on the door while silently praying for a smooth beginning to her task.
The door slowly opened to reveal a kind-faced man standing before her—it was indeed Fuji Nakai, the person she had come looking for.
Mr. Fuji smiled warmly and invited Ling Xue into his office. His demeanor exuded trustworthiness and stability. The interior was simply yet elegantly decorated, with a faint aroma of tea wafting through the air. Mr. Fuji poured a cup of hot tea for Ling Xue before beginning to explain the details of the mission.
Upon seeing Ling Xue, Mr. Fuji expressed surprise: "Nana Ko? Could it be you are Nana Ko? You still owe rent from before."
