Ling Na held Liu Siyao tightly, remaining silent for a long time before finally speaking softly, "Right now, I truly don't want to marry again. I've lost all interest in men. After experiencing so much turmoil, my heart is just too weary."

The lawyer's expression was grave as he stated, "The current situation is not optimistic. Liu Jiedong is suspected of bribery, and the amount involved is substantial with solid evidence. Given the current circumstances, the best outcome might be a seven-year sentence. However, if things worsen, it could be hard to predict."
Ling Xue's face instantly turned pale; she bit her lip tightly, her eyes filled with worry. Ling Na also held her child closer, her expression revealing unease and anxiety.
The prosecutor's actions struck like a heavy hammer on Ling Xue and Ling Na's hearts. Ling Na's assets were frozen; however, due to their previous discreet methods, there was little impact on Ling Na's properties.
Two months passed slowly in anxiety and waiting. Finally, Ling Xue and Ling Na visited the prison to see Liu Jiedong again. He appeared somewhat haggard but still had a glimmer of determination in his eyes.
Ling Xue's eyes were slightly red as she spoke softly, "Jiedong, the children miss you very much." Ling Na nodded in agreement, concern evident in her eyes. "Yes, they ask every day when Daddy will come home."
A gentle smile appeared on Liu Jiedong's face as he looked at Ling Xue and Ling Na. "You've worked hard; take good care of the children," he said. Both women nodded firmly; they understood that no matter how difficult the future might be, they had to strive for their children and the family they once had.
Days later, the verdict was announced.
The judgment felt like a heavy shackle weighing down on everyone's hearts. The nine-year prison sentence caught everyone off guard. The good news was that Ling Na and Liu Jiedong’s prenuptial agreement meant that Ling Xue's assets were not significantly affected.
After paying the fine, Ling Xue sold off several projects but still retained considerable wealth.
Ling Na calculated roughly; together they still had over ten billion.
With mixed emotions, Ling Xue and Ling Na visited Liu Jiedong in prison once more. He looked worn out but his gaze revealed a sense of resolve. He slowly said, "You can divorce me anytime; I don’t want to burden you any longer."
Upon hearing this, a wave of reluctance surged within Ling Xue; her eyes were filled with hesitation and pain. Meanwhile, Ling Na firmly declared, "Even if you divorce her, I will wait for you."
The atmosphere in the prison was oppressive and heavy; the emotional entanglement among the three felt particularly complex at that moment. The future for both Ling Xue and Ling Na was uncertain while Liu Jiedong would spend his long prison term reflecting on his past actions.
