As soon as Ling Xue entered the club, she was immediately enveloped by a thick atmosphere of indulgence and luxury. The dim lights flickered uncertainly, as if whispering the secrets of the place's ambiguity and mystery. The loud music surged like a tide, crashing against her eardrums and making her heart race uncontrollably. A variety of people moved about, their faces reflecting desire, fatigue, or insincere smiles.
"Ping Er, this is the new girl. Take good care of her. She still looks like a novice," someone remarked, eyeing Ling Xue with a knowing look. Tiger Brother had his eye on her; she was still innocent. A woman named Hong Jie swayed her hips as she approached, her gaze sharp and cunning.
Ping Er appraised Ling Xue from head to toe, a wicked smile curling at the corners of her mouth. "Don't worry, Hong Jie. I’ll take good care of her." With that, she pulled Ling Xue into a small room. Inside were various sexy and revealing outfits that dazzled the eyes.
"This one is yours," Ping Er said, pointing in a direction. Ling Xue looked where she indicated and saw racks filled with relatively decent clothing. Her fingers lightly brushed over the fabrics, a mix of emotions swirling within her. System, this mission is far more complicated and dangerous than it appears, Ling Xue thought silently.
"Host, there is actually evidence you need behind the photo studio," the system's voice echoed in Ling Xue's mind.
"What should I do now?" Ling Xue asked anxiously.
"This system will make an exception for you this time; my assistance is limited, so cherish it," the system replied with a serious tone.
At that moment, a mission change alert sounded: the current task was updated to infiltrate the Underworld to obtain key evidence and expose their crimes, with the completion deadline set for three days.
"This doesn’t seem too different," Ling Xue said, puzzled.
"You have missed crucial information for completing your mission. This system has spent a long time setting up this plan; please do not be ungrateful," the system's voice carried a hint of dissatisfaction.
Ping Er watched Ling Xue and asked, "I don’t even know your name yet. How should I address you? Everyone here calls me Sister Ping; you can call me sister too. I heard you're also a student at Su City University?"
"Yes, Sister Ping. My name is Ling Xue. I came here because my family is struggling," Ling Xue replied, her voice tinged with helplessness.
"I graduated a few years ago myself. I don’t want to hear your story; everyone here has their reasons for being here. If you ask me, it’s all about money, right? Work hard and you can earn some cash; all you need to do is keep the men happy, and everything else will follow. From now on, I'll call you Xue'er," Ping Er said with a blend of kindness and realism.
"I understand, Sister Ping," Ling Xue replied, trying to sound more resolute while still struggling to mask her fear and confusion inside. She knew that this mission was daunting; every step needed careful consideration.
Sister Ping patted her shoulder as if seeing through her thoughts. "Don’t be afraid; just follow me and you won’t suffer any losses. Now go change your clothes; we have a big client tonight, so make sure to perform well."
"There aren’t many rules here; we work in three shifts. If you have classes during the day, you can come in at night—just point-to-point," Sister Ping added.
Ling Xue stood in the changing room, her gaze slowly sweeping over the clothes. Finally, her hand stopped on a long black dress with an open back. The fabric was soft and smooth, shimmering mysteriously under the dim lights.
