Outside the camp, the morning light is faint, and the dew wets the tips of the grass. The wind of borderlands carries a hint of chill, but also brings a new hope. An Lushan and Li Bai walk out of the camp side by side, with a faint smile on their faces, as if the tension and busyness of last night have been melted away by the tranquility of this morning.

This is the best silk in our shop, with a soft texture and high luster, perfect for making clothes." An Lushan smiled and nodded, saying, "This silk is indeed good. However, what I want to know more is the price of this silk. Can ordinary families afford it?" The shopkeeper, looking troubled, replied, "Well... the price of this silk is indeed high, and ordinary families may find it difficult to afford. However, our shop also has cheaper fabrics with good quality, suitable for ordinary families to use."
An Lushan nodded, set down the silk in his hand, and looked deeply at the shopkeeper. In front of a farmer's house, they saw an old farmer working in the fields. The old farmer's face was covered with wrinkles, and his hands were rough and strong. The old farmer told them that his family's land was not large, and most of the annual harvest had to be handed over to the court as taxes. The remaining grain barely sustained their family. Although life was hard, they were content. Listening to the old farmer, An Lushan couldn't help but feel deeply moved. He looked at the old farmer and said, "Old man, you have worked hard. The old farmer's eyes lit up with a hint of surprise and gratitude at the words. He nodded repeatedly and said, "Thank you for your concern, sir. Although our lives are simple, we understand the challenges faced by the court. As long as the court can care for the people's livelihood, we will be content."
After bidding farewell to the old farmer, An Lushan and Li Bai continued on their way. They passed through fields, crossed small bridges over flowing water, and walked through bustling markets and impoverished villages. They witnessed the joys and sorrows of the people, heard their voices, and felt their hardships and hopes.
Throughout this process, they constantly pondered how to promote the welfare of the people and fulfill their duties to the court. They knew that as military leaders and officials of the court, they must not only care for military affairs but also for the lives of the people and the future of the country.
When night fell, An Lushan and Li Bai returned to the military camp. Their faces bore weary but contented smiles. They knew that the day's experiences had deepened their understanding of the people and strengthened their determination to serve the people and the country.
Inside the tent, the lights were on, and An Lushan and Li Bai sat at the table, reviewing the day's events. They discussed how to lighten the burden on the people, improve the army's combat effectiveness, and defend the country's borderlands. Their eyes sparkled with a firm light, as if they had already seen the hope and beauty of the future.
"Brother Taibai, what do you think of what we saw and heard today?" An Lushan asked.
