"Did you give me the Xiang Tou?" Lu Queyi growled.
"That's right, there are still two kinds!" Zuo Ci raised two fingers.
"Two kinds?"
Lu Queyi couldn't help but ask, "When did you—"
He suddenly recalled that piece of cloth. It turned out this guy never intended to determine the winner through the Dou Yan; instead, he had prepared the Xiang Tou for him during the process.
"You must be curious why I gave you the Chasing Death's Restraining Object, right? After all, the way to break the Death Suppression is to use the Auspicious Talisman. Were you mocking me back then?"
Zuo Ci chuckled, "If you spend all day hunting geese, you'll eventually get your eyes pecked out. Just like when I encountered the Killing Ground not long ago, specifically targeting accomplished Feng Shui Masters; it's the same principle."
"You are too confident."
"Of course, you have that confidence."
"Looking across all of Huaxia, your Yan Shu is indeed among the best. But when has there ever been a saying about being upright and aboveboard in such matters?"
"If I hadn't given you the Auspicious Talisman, you wouldn't have been able to step out of that door. If you didn't come out, it would have been quite troublesome for me to deal with you!"
"The Auspicious Talisman is bait?" Lu Queyi questioned.
"Of course! If I'm not mistaken, your dwelling has been set up with eighteen different Yan Shu techniques intertwined. Even if you're mindful or unmindful, you'll suffer losses!"
Zuo Ci replied nonchalantly, "I’ve always been cautious; I wouldn’t risk my life recklessly. So this is a deliberate scheme!"
"Damn it! When did Zuo start practicing military tactics instead of his usual dark arts?"
"Sun Tzu's Thirty-Six Stratagems?"
"You cowardly rat, attacking from the shadows!" Lu Queyi spat on the ground in disdain.
"I am Zuo!"
Zuo Ci laughed, "Are you trying to lecture me on rules?"
Lu Queyi thought for a moment and found it somewhat reasonable.
"A life for a life?" Lu Queyi said solemnly.
"Change?"
Zuo Ci was surprised. "Who said anything about changing? What do you want?"
Lu Queyi, feeling a bit impatient, replied, "If I die, you won't get Zhen Wu either!"
"I've already told you, I won't let you die!" Zuo Ci laughed. "Earlier, I placed the Rotting Flesh Curse on you. It will make your flesh rot, maggots oozing out. Just imagine watching your skin on your face, hands, and body decay little by little and fall off. Isn't that a bit stimulating to think about?"
Lu Queyi felt a sense of despair. "Just kill me!"
"Kill you?" Zuo Ci chuckled. "That would be too unkind, wouldn't it? I wouldn't do that. Aren't you curious about what I just made you consume?"
"I'll tell you—it was the Dung Beetle Curse. Taking it feels like you've been injected with adrenaline, full of vitality. Don’t you feel the pain subsiding now?"
"Don't worry; tonight, countless dung beetles will burrow out from beneath your rotting skin and crawl into your brain. Of course, they won't let you die. They will devour your decaying flesh while simultaneously excreting a special liquid. That liquid stimulates the growth of new flesh."
"The new flesh will continue to rot under the effect of the Rotting Flesh Curse, and they will help gnaw away at the decayed parts while new flesh grows in its place. This cycle will continue endlessly!"
Lu Queyi's body trembled as if he had been electrocuted. He extended his bony fingers, now resembling bones from decay, pointing at Zuo Ci's face with a quivering voice. "You are a cruel young one!"
"Lu Men, do you have any final words?" Zuo Ci asked nonchalantly.
"If I hand over Zhen Wu, will you spare my life?" Lu Queyi pleaded.
"What do you think?" Zuo Ci smiled.
Lu Queyi's expression turned dark and fierce while fear flickered in his eyes. He was not afraid of death.
But he feared that death might be better!
The combination of the Dung Beetle Curse and the Rotting Flesh Curse was something Zuo Ci had inadvertently come up with. It seemed rather ordinary at first glance, but if someone wanted to ask a powerful practitioner to break it, the process would be quite tedious.
The key point was that if someone attempted to lift the curse, Zuo Ci would sense it. As long as that person wasn’t the Old Celestial Master, it was highly likely that Xiang Tou hadn’t resolved the issue yet, and the person would have already taken a step forward!
This was the Corpse Transformation Repellent. I didn’t expect anything from you; I only wished for a swift death!
