A white-haired old man with silver-glinting eyes stood before the expansive Peacock Blue Glass windows, holding a glass of Burgundy Red Wine as he gazed down at the world below. Behind him loomed a massive aquarium made of blue crystal, water splashing within. Inside the aquarium swam an extraordinary fish, its body elongated and its mouth slanted downward, with the lower jaw covering the upper jaw. Its scales were semi-circular and silvery, while its floating tendrils resembled the dragons described in ancient texts.
"Daoist Zuo is dead?" the old man said coldly.
"Yes!"
A black shadow suddenly appeared behind him, wearing a Ghost Face Mask. It was Li Jisheng, the captain of Team Qingming from the Huaxia Ghost Slayer.
"Interesting!" The old man took a sip of the crimson liquid and chuckled. "If he's dead, then so be it. Where is the Furnace Cauldron of Guanyin Sitting on Lotus?"
"I don't know," Li Jisheng replied after a moment of silence.
Bang!
The Burgundy wine glass shattered in the old man's grip, crimson liquid spilling like blood through his fingers. He inhaled deeply, his expression turning frosty. "The value of Daoist Zuo cannot compare to that of the Furnace Cauldron. You Wuchang Squad seem to be less formidable than rumored."
"Daoist Zuo's cultivation is profound. If it weren't for the cooperation among Wuchang Squad members, I alone wouldn't have been able to kill him!" Li Jisheng said with a bitter smile. "He may appear young, but his cultivation is unfathomable. I truly don't know how he trained, and one of our team members has gone missing!"
"Gone missing?" The old man's pupils constricted. "You are national treasures crafted with utmost effort; each one is among the country's most precious assets. Find him! I want to see him alive or his corpse if he's dead!"
"I understand," Li Jisheng hesitated before speaking again. "I have a question that I hope Chen Lao can clarify for me."
He knew that this old man held a high status; he was one of the big shots behind the creation of Zhan Gui Ren and Hawk Faction. Yet, he still felt puzzled.
"Are you asking me why I'm searching for the Furnace Cauldron?"
The old man's pupil shimmered with a silvery frost, seemingly able to see through Li Jisheng's innermost thoughts.
"Yes, after all, we are a nation," Li Jisheng thought but did not voice some of his concerns.
"Do you know the story of the Mo Yun Building?" the old man replied, seemingly off-topic.
"I know a bit; it's about the National Fortune, right?" Li Jisheng said in a low voice.
"Ten years ago, the project for the Mo Yun Building existed only on paper, crafted by the Mo Family and the Gongshu Family. Unfortunately, with the technology at that time, perfecting the Kunlun within this building was nearly impossible. If it weren't for those Wokou from Eastern Japan, who took advantage of our country’s vigorous push for reform and opening up policies, they used vast amounts of capital and superior industrial equipment to seize this ancient and wealthy city of Huaxia, laying down a sinister feng shui pattern."
"We still cannot stand here and chat freely!" The old man looked at the towering buildings across with a half-smile.
That was the Shanghai Universal Financial Center, constructed with immense manpower and resources by the Easterners. The entire structure twisted like a diamond from all sides, resembling two sharp military swords crossing upwards. Between the two sword tips was an oval hollow shape, akin to a military sword supporting the sun.
That was the Military Sword Tower of Eastern Japan, shaped like twin swords holding up the sun. In our Old Ancestor's feng shui manual, this kind of formation is referred to as "One Sword Sealing the Throat."
