Zuo Ci squinted and smiled, saying, "Since you, Old Senior, have a limited understanding, let me teach you about the creatures that counter the True Dragon Legend!"
He spoke of the creation of heaven and earth, the interplay of yin and yang, and how these forces give rise to the five elements. The five elements support and restrain each other, allowing all things to grow.
"The dragon is the ruler of all serpents, capable of great size or small, able to soar through the skies or dive into the depths. It serves as a steed for immortals and can guard water domains. Ancient texts recount a legend concerning creatures that counter the dragon."
He continued with the tale of Gu Jiaozhou Wang Shiyu, who was sent as an envoy to the Ryukyu Kingdom. While sailing across the sea, a massive dragon suddenly fell from the clouds above, creating towering waves. The dragon floated half-submerged, its head held high with its chin resting on the ship. Its eyes were half-closed, appearing utterly exhausted.
The crew was terrified and halted their oars, afraid to move. The boatman explained, "This is a rain-weary dragon from above." Wang Shiyu quickly hung an imperial edict on the dragon's head and prayed alongside everyone.
After a while, the giant dragon leisurely swam away. Just as they resumed their journey, another dragon fell from the sky, followed by three or four more throughout the day.
The next day, the boatman instructed everyone to prepare extra rice and warned them that they were near Qing Shui Tan. "If you see anything," he said, "just scatter rice into the water quietly; do not make a fuss!"
Soon they arrived at a spot where the sea was crystal clear, revealing a group of giant dragons coiled on the seabed in five colors, lying like basins or jars. Some were slithering about, their scales and spines clearly visible.
The crew was terrified; they held their breath and closed their eyes, too frightened to look or move. Only the boatman continued to scatter rice into the water.
After some time, when the water began to turn deep black, someone finally dared to ask why they were scattering rice. The boatman replied, "Dragons fear maggots; they dread entering their shells. Rice attracts maggots; thus, when dragons see it, they lie low. As long as we sail above them, we are safe."
Zuo Ci shared this folk tale with the elder: "This is how one creature can subdue another!"
"Now I understand!" The elder sighed lightly, feeling enlightened.
He then stomped his foot heavily once more, sending a golden beam shooting like an arrow toward those below who were digging a canal—its target being the fountain-spouting Zhen Shui Shou.
With a buzz, Zhen Shui Shou's rough and ancient gray-brown stone skin cracked open to reveal its true golden form. This Zhen Shui Shou had actually taken on the shape of a Three-Legged Golden Toad.
However strangely enough, this Three-Legged Golden Toad was entirely coated in gold leaf. Its eyes were no larger than mung beans but remained blank and colorless.
Unfortunately for you, you've miscalculated! The elder chuckled softly; after all, a jiao is merely a horned serpent—not quite a True Dragon—and serpents enjoy swallowing toads; this is a biological law!
This Zhen Wu turned out to be an underhanded trick! Zuo Ci's brow twitched slightly before relaxing again.
Killing Ground has its methods of killing, and naturally, it also has its solutions. Different types of Killing Grounds require different resolutions. This particular She Jiao-shaped Killing Ground can be resolved by forging a Toad-shaped Zhen Wu to dispel the malevolent energy, as snakes are fond of eating toads. By constructing a Toad Zhen Wu, one can draw out the formidable Sha Qi from the Snake Pit.
However, at this moment, my own maneuver has effectively disrupted the carefully arranged Killing Ground. Reluctantly, I can only use the Zhen Wu to release the Sha Qi that has gathered in the Snake Pit. If I am not mistaken, there should still be a backup plan within this Zhen Wu.
This is how a Feng Shui Master operates—everything is intricately connected and tightly woven together. Their own abilities may not be exceptional, but if they succeed in their layout, they can harness the power of heaven and earth.
As the blood-red fierce dragon dissipated, it transformed into strands of Sha Qi that seeped into the Three-Legged Golden Toad Zhen Wu. The Killing Ground has been broken. The old man’s expression darkened as he said, "Ten years of planning, all gone in an instant. Young one, you truly deserve to die!"
After swallowing the Sha Qi, the Three-Legged Golden Toad glimmered with a black-red sheen. Its pupils, originally devoid of any golden flecks and no larger than sesame seeds, now shone with an eerie crimson light.
The Gu Du within it began to stir; the Three-Legged Golden Toad's crimson pupils were actually moving, its brows and mouth curving upwards as if displaying a sinister smile.
Quack, quack, quack!
The golden Toad seemed to come alive, opening its mouth adorned with shimmering jewels and glistening glass. It opened and closed rhythmically, producing a sound akin to metal clashing against stone. Then it spat out a Blood Flesh Copper Coin that wriggled with sinews and flesh.
Yin Zhen Wu?
Zuo Ci manipulated Yanfu Tongshen with great interest as he absorbed the suspended Da Ri above. He chuckled and said, "You’ve hired a rather skilled Ming Jiang master to carve this Three-Legged Ghost Toad for you, fearing you might encounter troublesome situations."
This Zhen Wu serves as the core, controlling those Earthly Evil Energies lurking in the mountain roots and water veins to suppress the opponent! Evil Practices have their Seventy Earthly Fiends Technique.
The painter points at the spirit; Ming Jiang carves ghosts. This Zhen Wu is no longer just a Three-Legged Golden Toad. The Three-Legged Golden Toad is a divine beast symbolizing good fortune. However, this malevolent Zhen Wu would be more aptly named the Three-Legged Ghost Toad.
This is Yin Zhen Wu. It can conceal Evil Spirits and Xiong Ling within it, transforming them into ferocious entities. Indeed!
The old man nodded and said, "I underestimated Daoist Zuo. This is my mistake. To make amends, I will use your Flesh to fill the already incomplete Jiao Xue. Although the Killing Ground has been broken, if I leave you alive, your Flesh will support the Earthly Evil Energy. I believe that within five years, a more ferocious Killing Master will emerge. So, leave him to me!"
The old man took out an Ink Black Talisman, bit his fingertip, and used his blood to draw on the Fulu while murmuring incantations. Once the incantation was complete, he shouted, "Seal!"
The Blood Red Copper Coin creaked as two bloodied wings sprouted from its surface and flapped into the sky. An Illusory Ancient Copper Coin Shadow descended from above, merging perfectly with the surroundings.
Buzz.
Zuo Ci's expression finally turned serious. He felt a suppressive force emanating from the void. The floating Golden Sun and the swirling black smoke of Yanfu Tongshen all seemed to encounter some innate nemesis and began to dissipate. No matter how Zuo Ci chanted and commanded, Yanfu Tongshen dared not show its face again.
For the first time, Zuo Ci realized that Yanfu Tongshen, aside from himself, actually had something it feared.
Watching from the sidelines, Yin Ren Hei Que Zi stared at the Ancient Bronze Coin Shadow shining in the sky, his eyes nearly popping out. Wasn't this thing from Ancient Times, known as the nemesis of Heavenly Materials and Earthly Treasures—the Luo Bao Copper Coin? How could it possibly remain in this world? Could it be that the Ancient Cultivation Realm truly exists?
He pulled a crumpled Fulu from his pocket, roughly unfolded it, revealing it to be stained with curled Black Fur. He pinched his fingers into a seal and chanted: "Shan Jing! Shan Jing! Communicate with me, protect my form, uphold my law; vile creature, if not now, when else? Command!"
As he finished chanting, the Fulu burned away completely. A black whirlwind surged up from the ground as a giant creature cloaked in Black Fur emerged from within it. Its dense black fur covered its entire body except for a grotesque Human Face with crimson Pupils. The creature stood upright like a small mountain, blocking Black Cripple's path.
Black Cripple was no pushover either; when his life was at stake, he activated Dao Yi Software and turned on the broadcasting function, embarking on his increasingly frenzied journey of power.
