Hmph! Lu Jingzhi huffed at Jiang Shanyun, then sat down on the nearby sofa. He had a partner and had no common topics with a single dog, especially one over thirty.
Jiang Shanyun stared at Lu Jingzhi in disbelief. Was this still the Lu Shao he knew? He seemed so different from before.
"People change!" Lu Jingzhi remarked.
"Honestly, I didn't expect you to get engaged so early," Jiang Shanyun said with a sigh. In their circle, people usually married later; he never thought the carefree Lu Jingzhi would fall so deeply under a woman's spell so soon.
That day, Madam Lu called him to say she was customizing a Qipao for Lu Jingzhi's girlfriend to wear during the engagement ceremony. He was astonished—when did Lu Jingzhi even get a girlfriend? "So you’re getting engaged soon; do you have any plans for when to get married?"
"Soon! My parents are looking for an auspicious date," Lu Jingzhi replied, his eyes fixed on the fitting room door.
Jiang Shanyun looked at him in shock from head to toe; they hadn't even gotten engaged yet, and they were already picking wedding dates! How eager was the Lu Family?
"In their family, marriage is the most important thing in life; can they not be anxious?"
"What’s wrong? Speak up!" Lu Jingzhi turned his head and shot Jiang Shanyun a look—why was he staring at him like that?
"Wait, you haven't even gotten engaged yet and you're already looking for wedding dates? Isn't that a bit too fast?"
"What? Do you have an opinion?"
Jiang Shanyun quickly replied, "No way! Who am I to have an opinion?" He knew better than to voice any dissent; after all, who did he think he was?
