Qin Feng raised an eyebrow, "Oh, you know about Difu?"
The White-Clad Woman's expression changed slightly as she looked at Qin Feng with uncertainty.
"Look, do you recognize this person?" Qin Feng suddenly said.
From the crack, a foot stepped out, followed by a figure clad in a bright red official robe—Cui Pan.
He fixed his sharp gaze on the White-Clad Woman. "Ha, Bai Yan'er, you've really improved as a maid following the Yama King."
Upon seeing Cui Pan, Bai Yan'er stood up, fear evident in her eyes as she looked at him.
Her voice trembled slightly as she spoke to Cui Pan.
Cui Pan replied indifferently, "I don't want to resort to violence. Just come with me willingly."
Bai Yan'er's expression changed. "No, you can't take me away."
Cui Pan raised an eyebrow, his face stern yet composed. "Bai Yan'er, I advise you not to be stubborn. The Manshan Ghost King cannot protect you."
Bai Yan'er glanced around and suddenly attempted to escape.
Cui Pan sneered and produced a Judge's Pen from his hand, making a swift motion in the air.
A circle appeared beneath Bai Yan'er’s feet; she found herself unable to move, trapped in place.
With another gesture from Cui Pan, Bai Yan'er was involuntarily drawn towards him and shrank down into his grasp.
Cui Pan surveyed the surroundings once more before sweeping his sleeve to gather all the dark energy and ghosts back into himself.
Only then did he turn to Qin Feng. "I’ll be leaving now."
Qin Feng smiled and cupped his hands together. "Thank you, Cui Pan."
Cui Pan glanced at the long sword at Qin Feng's waist and nodded slightly before stepping through a portal that appeared behind him; the portal vanished as he entered.
Qin Feng looked at the now tattered boat and chuckled. "Well, there's nothing more to see here. Let's head back."
After saying that, he took the lead and walked outside.
Xiao Qing couldn't help but exclaim, "Sister, how did Cui Pan come here? Is Difu fully supporting him now?"
Bai Suzhen's eyes flickered. "I'm afraid so. That Lord Blackwater has likely taken control of Difu."
Xiao Qing gasped in surprise but then brightened up. "Isn't that even better? It means we might really have a chance to protect this one and help him become emperor!"
"What is this? Hmm, the power of the dragon, ha ha."
Bai Suzhen nodded slightly and smiled, "Indeed, this has turned out to be greatly beneficial for us."
She suddenly sighed, "But in doing so, we can't repay the favor; instead, we end up gaining even more."
Xiao Qing casually remarked, "Well, there's nothing we can do about it. Who told him to have such a powerful backing?"
Bai Suzhen shook her head, feeling somewhat helpless.
The painted boat lost its support from the dark energy. After Qin Feng and the others returned to the ship, it slowly fell apart and sank to the riverbed.
Qin Feng watched this scene, narrowing his eyes as he scanned the surrounding mountains and forests. There was no one in sight. It seemed that upon witnessing the change in the painted boat, everyone had retreated.
Qin Feng knew that things wouldn't end so simply. The Third Prince was deeply hidden and had already contacted the Manshan Ghost King early on.
He also understood that Bai Yan'er being captured would surely infuriate the Manshan Ghost King, and the next attack would undoubtedly be even more ferocious.
In Nanning Prefecture, the Third Prince smashed a teacup in his hand with a fierce expression.
"What is going on? How could a Yuan Shen Realm ghost king not even stir up a ripple?" the Third Prince said coldly.
Kneeling below him was an Armored General. "Your Highness, I don't know what happened. Clearly, Qin Feng entered the painted boat, yet he came out unharmed shortly after, and then the boat sank."
The Third Prince calmed down and slowly sat back down. "And what about you? Didn't you attack? Why didn't you destroy those boats?"
