"Do you really trust him that much? His strength is only slightly better than ours," Lu Pan said, a hint of dissatisfaction in his voice.
Cui Pan shook his head. "I know you're not satisfied with them, but our goal is to protect Difu. We need to focus on that."
Seeing Cui Pan's serious expression, Lu Pan felt a chill in his heart. "Alright, I understand."
Cui Pan sighed, hoping that he would truly take his words to heart.
He looked up at the direction where Hei Jiao had disappeared, his gaze deep and contemplative. "Are you really destined to be with Destiny Energy?"
Lu Pan didn't catch that last part clearly and looked at Cui Pan in confusion. He always felt that Cui Pan had changed somewhat after encountering Hei Jiao.
In the capital, Qin Feng was sitting in a pavilion in Zhang Zhu Fu's courtyard. He squinted his eyes, pondering what might happen in three years.
Zhang Zhu, unaware of Qin Feng's thoughts, smiled and said, "Feng Er, this is the commander I've assigned to you, Feng Wushuang. Don't underestimate her; although her strength is only at the Golden Core Realm, she excels at strategizing and can even lead troops effectively."
Qin Feng snapped back to reality and looked at the woman standing before him, clad in silver armor and exuding a heroic presence.
Feng Wushuang was also sizing up Qin Feng, slightly furrowing her brow. She couldn't understand why His Highness would assign her to someone else—especially a man. Although he was a young man, he was still a man.
Zhang Zhu noticed Feng Wushuang's discontent and chuckled. "Wushuang, this is my son."
"Ah?" Feng Wushuang was taken aback. "Your Highness, wait a minute. This isn't Feng Shao Ye, is it?"
Upon hearing that name, Zhang Zhu's expression turned cold. "He is not my son anymore; he has already died. Do not mention him again."
Feng Wushuang was stunned for a moment and looked at Zhang Zhu in surprise. "Understood, Your Highness."
Knowing that His Highness had no reason to deceive her, she bowed respectfully to Qin Feng. "Wushuang greets Young Master."
Qin Feng raised an eyebrow. "Just call me 'Young Master.'"
"Yes, Young Master," Feng Wushuang replied with a cold expression, her tone serious.
"Feng Er, you must treat Wushuang well; she is very loyal to me," Zhang Zhu added solemnly.
Qin Feng nodded. "I will."
He slowly said, "I should leave the capital now. You'll have to take care of my sister."
Zhang Zhu felt reluctant to part so soon. "Why not stay a few more days? That Dog Emperor wouldn't dare say anything."
Qin Feng shook his head. "No, I feel that something significant will happen in Da Li soon. I must prepare early."
Zhang Zhu sighed, knowing that Qin Feng had made up his mind. "Well then, this farewell... I don't know when we'll meet again."
Qin Feng raised an eyebrow and smiled mysteriously. "It should be very soon."
Zhang Zhu shook her head, clearly not believing him. "By the way, keep an eye on that national master. He's a Yuan Shen Realm centipede spirit, plotting something with the Great Li Dragon Qi." Qin Feng intended to give her a warning.
"Ha, I know," Zhang Zhu replied with a smile.
"You know? Then why don't you stop him?" Qin Feng asked in surprise.
"Why should I stop him? I would love for that Dog Emperor to die," Zhang Zhu said coldly.
"But what about the Dragon Qi?" Qin Feng was puzzled. "The Great Li Dragon Qi is crucial. If it disappears, Da Li will be finished."
Zhang Zhu sneered. "Those old folks in the forbidden area aren't in a hurry, so why should I be? If Da Li is gone, then so be it. As a Yuan Shen Realm cultivator, even if there's a change of dynasty, I'll still live well."
"That's some serious hatred for all of Da Li," Qin Feng shook his head. "So remember, don't offend women; you never know what they might do when they're ruthless."
