A cold smile crept across Qi Zhu's face. "You don't really think he sees me as a daughter, do you?" Her expression twisted with rage. He doesn't care about his daughter; to him, she is merely a tool for marriage.
After saying this, she glanced at Qin Feng. "Do you know how the original owner died?" Without waiting for Qin Feng to respond, she scoffed, "She was driven to death by the Dog Emperor. He intended to send her to the National Master."
The original owner knew that once a prince entered the National Master's residence, they never returned. So, she chose to end her own life. "Even a tiger won't eat its own cubs; he is worse than a pig or a dog," Qi Zhu cursed vehemently.
Qin Feng frowned. The old emperor's obsession with extending his life had driven him mad. As he neared death, his madness only intensified. Qin Feng's eyes flickered; it seemed he needed to keep Hei Jiao constantly vigilant in the capital.
If they left Qin Wan'er behind, he couldn't let anything happen to her. Fortunately, after becoming the Difu Judge, he could send more Ghost Messengers to keep an eye on things in the capital.
Lost in thought, Qin Feng asked curiously, "Don't you have any special abilities?"
At this question, Qi Zhu's anger flared even more. "Of course I do! The Parental Favor system! As long as I can gain my father's love, I can draw rewards and exchange for anything!"
Qin Feng couldn't help but look at Qi Zhu with pity. "That Dog Emperor wants to kill me! Fatherly love? Nonsense! The system said it chose the wrong host and ran away. Did you know? It actually ran away!"
Qi Zhu stomped her foot in frustration.
Qin Feng's lips twitched. "What a bizarre system! Many of these systems are unreliable. It’s much safer to rely on your own strength."
Clearing his throat, he added, "Well, you really have had some bad luck." He didn't know what else to say.
Qi Zhu sighed deeply. "I suspect that system was transformed from a Comet. How could I be so unlucky? Is there anyone else who has had worse luck than me as a transmigrator?" Her tone was laced with intense resentment.
Qin Feng smacked his lips. "You know, you're quite resilient."
Qi Zhu rolled her eyes at Qin Feng. "There's no need to exaggerate. I can handle it."
Qin Feng cleared his throat, finding Qi Zhu rather amusing at the moment. "By the way, what about your special abilities? You must have something better than mine."
Suddenly, Qi Zhu's eyes widened as a thought struck her. "Oh no, it wouldn't be some sort of academic cheat, would it?"
Qin Feng shook his head. "It's not a cheat, and I don't have any special abilities. It's all from my own training."
"What? You don't have any special abilities? Training? Did you inherit some kind of immortal legacy?" Qi Zhu exclaimed in shock.
"Is it possible that I was a cultivator in my past life?" Qin Feng said playfully.
"Ah, that's impossible! Absolutely impossible! How could there be cultivators in Blue Star?" Qi Zhu quickly shut her mouth, but after a moment's thought, she reconsidered. "Well, it's hard to say; there are so many legends. Who knows if any of them are true?"
"Are you really a cultivator?" Qi Zhu asked seriously, staring into Qin Feng's deep eyes.
Qin Feng nodded slightly. "Do I really need to lie to you?"
"Teach me! Come on, for the sake of our hometown connection, please teach me!" Qi Zhu suddenly clung to Qin Feng's leg.
"Big shot, help me out! You can't just stand by and watch me die!"
Qin Feng's cheek twitched at her antics; whatever happened to the proud demeanor she had before? It was almost embarrassing to witness.
However, he felt a sense of warmth from her eagerness. "Alright, get up. I won't let you die."
"Really? That's great!" Qi Zhu quickly scrambled to her feet, looking at Qin Feng with excitement.
