Qin Feng squinted slightly, understanding in his heart that Pu Du Ci Hang could already absorb Dragon Qi directly. The Da Li dynasty was nearing its end; once the old emperor passed away, Da Li would surely fall apart.
He withdrew his gaze, frowning slightly as he discreetly scanned his surroundings. Ever since entering the city, he had noticed that quite a few people seemed to be watching him. Yes, it was definitely him; he felt certain of it. Logically, shouldn't they be paying attention to Nie Rong instead? Why were they fixated on him?
Suddenly, a thought struck him, and a cold glint flashed in his eyes. It could only be Zhang Gong Hui who would act this way. How impatient of them, he thought with a sneer. He simply used his spiritual sense to remember those few individuals, still feeling a hint of doubt because they did not exude any malice.
Afterward, he dismissed the thought; as long as they didn’t come looking for trouble, it was fine by him. Just then, an Old Man stepped forward with some people and blocked the convoy.
Nie Rong looked at the Old Man in confusion; he did not recognize this person. The Old Man hurriedly approached the Ox Cart and respectfully said, "Young Master, you have finally arrived. Everything is prepared; shall we head to the residence now?"
Qin Feng had already spotted Old Fox and, upon hearing this, turned to Nie Rong and Nie Shu. "I have long sent people to the capital; why don’t we go to my place together?"
Nie Rong was taken aback and glanced at Qin Feng, secretly thinking that Brother Qin had left behind quite a fortune. Ah, just when I was worrying about where to stay! Nie Rong agreed; he had received the imperial decree suddenly and hadn’t had time to buy a house in the capital.
Under Old Fox's guidance, the convoy continued onward. In the eastern part of the city, they stopped in front of a large mansion with a plaque reading "Qin Mansion."
Nie Rong was once again astonished; such a grand residence could not be purchased for just a small sum of silver. Even he would likely have to exhaust his entire fortune. He frowned slightly; Brother Qin was not exactly a wealthy man—how could he possibly leave so much silver for Qin Feng?
But for now, he chose not to ask any questions and simply cast a deep glance at Qin Feng.
The Old Fox had the carriage pulled down and opened the gates wide to welcome everyone inside.
Qin Feng scanned the area with his spiritual sense, nodding in satisfaction. He had to admit that the Old Fox was thorough in his arrangements. This place was much larger than Qingshan Mansion, complete with flowing streams and pavilions, not lacking in any charm.
There was also a Small Pond, accompanied by a grove of bamboo nearby. A pavilion had been specially constructed there, furnished with a reclining chair. Qin Feng glanced at the Old Fox and smiled, clearly pleased.
The Old Fox felt a surge of joy, realizing he had made the right choice in purchasing this estate at great expense. He quickly assured Qin Feng that he would make sure everything met his satisfaction.
Afterward, Qin Feng instructed the Old Fox to arrange rooms for everyone while he made his way to the pavilion and reclined on the chair. His attention shifted outside; he noticed one of the individuals was missing, likely sent to deliver news. He waited to see if anyone would arrive.
At that moment, Zhang Gong Fu knelt on the ground, looking utterly dejected.
"Prince Changgong," he said helplessly, "I was just about to leave the city with my men when I saw them entering."
"Hmm? They've entered the city? So soon?" The Eldest Prince sat up abruptly.
Just then, an old maid emerged from behind and whispered in the Eldest Prince's ear.
