"What now?" 0

"Hmph, what is there to fear? The sacrifice to the River God is about to begin." 0

"Exactly, can he really kill us?" 0

The crowd began to murmur upon seeing Zhu Fang. He dismounted swiftly and stepped forward, but immediately someone stood in his way. 0

Several burly men glared at Zhu Fang and Zhu Xiucai. "What do you want? This was decided by drawing lots. Are you trying to doom the entire village?" 0

Zhu Fang clenched his fists tightly, his face flushed with anger. The large men looked down on the frail Zhu Fang. If it weren't for their fear of his status as a scholar, they would have already knocked him out and tied him up. 0

Qin Feng and the others approached as well. Qin Wan'er held Qin Feng's hand, her gaze fixed on the two bound children. Memories of her own time tied up in the woodshed flooded back, and tears streamed down her face. 0

"Brother, please help them," she pleaded. 0

Qin Feng was taken aback by Qin Wan'er's strong reaction and gently patted her head. "If I don't save them, why did I come here?" 0

Qin Wan'er nodded in agreement; these people were too cruel to treat the two children this way. 0

Qin Feng glanced at her. "Have you forgotten that you are also a child?" 0

He then looked up at the platform, where an oddly dressed old woman was dancing around the two children in a strange ritual. 0

"Zhu Xiong, who is that?" Qin Feng asked, pointing at the platform. 0

Zhu Fang froze for a moment; with them blocking his way, he couldn't get through. Hearing Qin Feng's question, he turned to look. A look of disgust crossed his face. "That's a shaman; she claims to communicate with the River God and suggested offering Child Sacrifices." 0

Qin Feng nodded and suddenly said to Qin Wan'er, "You wait here for me." 0

With that, he stomped on the ground, creating a large crater as he leaped into the air and landed on the platform in an instant. 0

Aside from Zhou Ziling and the others who were merely astonished, the villagers were left speechless. The dancing shaman was startled by Qin Feng's sudden appearance and stopped abruptly. 0

Her voice was hoarse and unpleasant as she demanded, "What do you want?" 0

Qin Feng grinned and said, "It's nothing, I just wanted you to call the River God out." 0

Suddenly, he lifted his foot and delivered a lightning-fast kick to the shaman's chest. The sound of cracking bones echoed as the shaman was sent flying like a cannonball into the river. 0

The two children stopped crying, clearly stunned by the scene before them. Had that wicked old woman really fallen into the river? 0

Qin Feng approached the two children with a smile. "Don't be afraid, I'll take you home." With that, he picked them up, one in each arm, and stomped his foot on the platform. 0

The platform collapsed under him as he soared into the air, landing right in front of Zhu Fang and the others. "Here, I'm leaving the children with you," Qin Feng said as he placed them down in front of Zhu Fang. 0

Zhu Fang looked at one of the children in surprise. "Sister!" she exclaimed, rushing forward to untie the ropes binding her. 0

Zhou Ziling and the others also stepped forward to help free the other child. 0

At that moment, the villagers finally reacted. "No! Quickly throw the children into the river! The River God will drown our village!" 0

"Quickly, get the children back!" 0

"It's over! We've offended the River God; we're doomed!" 0

"I don't want to die!" 0
