He had no intention of explaining further. He found a vacant spot not far from the inn and parked the Ox Cart there. The Old Black Bull simply lay down on the ground. Qin Feng gave it some feed, then set up a campfire and took out a roast piglet from the Black Snake Space to cook. 0

He had brought all the seasonings; he certainly couldn't neglect his own appetite. The rich aroma of meat quickly wafted through the air. The little fox and Qin Wan'er pulled back the curtain of the cart, eagerly watching and swallowing their saliva. 0

Qin Feng smiled proudly and joked that he had once been a chef, so this was nothing for him. This little town seemed to have excellent security, as no one had come looking for trouble. 0

Qin Feng glanced at the people surrounding his Ox Cart, who stood quietly without saying a word. Qin Wan'er was completely oblivious, but the little fox sensed something was off. She pulled her gaze away from the roasting meat, looked up, and suddenly realized they were surrounded by people. 0

She was startled; it wasn't that she was timid, but she had always been on the run. "Young Master, there are people..." the little fox stammered. 0

At that moment, she felt even more frightened as she noticed that those people's eyes seemed to glow green, staring intently at her. Qin Wan'er also came to her senses and gasped when she saw them, pulling the little fox close and retreating into the cart. 0

Seeing this, Qin Feng frowned and glanced at the people surrounding them. With a swift motion, he summoned the Red Longsword resting on the Ox Cart. The sword flew through the air, a red line flashing as it circled around the crowd before returning to him. 0

The green light in those people's eyes extinguished instantly, followed by a series of thuds as their heads fell to the ground, rising in a plume of green smoke until they turned to ash. 0

"Alright, they’re gone. You can come out now," Qin Feng said with a smile. 0

Qin Wan'er cautiously peeked out and, upon seeing that those people were gone, let out a sigh of relief. She hugged the little fox and moved to sit beside Qin Feng, where there were some stools available. Qin Feng also brought out a reclining chair. 0

The little fox carefully surveyed their surroundings before casting a deep glance at Qin Feng, certain that he had taken care of everything. Unable to hold back any longer, she asked, "Young Master, is there something wrong with this town?" 0

Qin Feng looked at the little fox and then at Qin Wan'er. After pondering for a moment, he thought that in this world filled with demons and monsters, they would encounter such things sooner or later; it would be better for Qin Wan'er to face it sooner rather than later. 0

"Well, aside from us and that merchant caravan, there are no other living people in this town," Qin Feng replied calmly. 0

"What?" 0

"Ah!" 0

The little fox and Qin Wan'er exclaimed in disbelief as they looked at Qin Feng. 0

"Who has the audacity to wipe out a small town?" the little fox exclaimed in terror. 0

"I don't know, but we should find out tonight," Qin Feng replied nonchalantly. 0

"Little fox, stop slacking off and transform into a human to help serve the meat," Qin Feng said, glancing at her. 0

The little fox was taken aback for a moment before quickly transforming into a young girl, dividing the roasted meat for the two of them. 0

Qin Wan'er, though frightened, couldn't resist the enticing aroma of the meat. With her brother by her side, she buried her head in her food. 0

There were still many people lurking in the shadows, but they discreetly moved away from Qin Feng and headed towards the inn. 0

With a flick of his right hand, Black Snake appeared and vanished in the blink of an eye. 0

Qin Feng felt a surge of excitement; he wondered how much Sha Qi he could harvest this time. The fact that so many had been killed indicated that they were not ordinary demons. 0

After finishing their meal, Qin Wan'er and the little fox returned to sleep on the Ox Cart, leaving only Qin Feng lying on a lounge chair outside. 0

It was early summer, and the night breeze was cool. With Qin Feng's constitution, he was unaffected by the external environment. 0

His consciousness shifted to Black Snake, which hovered above the inn, its awareness enveloping the entire establishment. 0

The arrival of the merchant caravan brought a lively atmosphere inside; people filled several tables, drinking and feasting merrily. 0

However, in Qin Feng's eyes, apart from the caravan members, everyone else seemed suspicious. Although they were also eating, their gazes were fixed intently on the caravan members. 0

Unfortunately, those from the caravan remained oblivious to it all. 0

"By the way, did you notice that Ox Cart that has been following us? It didn't come in," one voice remarked. 0

"What's it to us? Probably doesn't have money to stay at the inn," another replied dismissively. 0

"Heh heh, did you know there's a little girl in that cart? She's not bad looking," a lewd voice chimed in. 0

"Wang Mazi, how do you know that?" 0

"Haha! The curtain was lifted just as I happened to see." 0

"Wang Mazi, what are you scheming?" 0

"Hmph! I don't believe you haven't thought about it. That boy is quite handsome too. If we sell him in Fu Cheng..." 0

Greed flickered in many eyes; they hadn't considered it before, but after a few drinks and Wang Mazi's suggestion, they were suddenly intrigued. 0

Though some members of the caravan frowned at this conversation, they said nothing. In a world plagued by demons and danger, human nature had become somewhat twisted. 0

Listening to their words, Qin Feng's snake-like eyes grew colder. No wonder he sensed malice; many from the caravan kept glancing back at him. 0

Initially, he had considered saving them; now it seemed unnecessary. 0

At that moment, someone suddenly exclaimed, "What is this? Ugh!" 0

The sound of chairs and tables crashing to the ground filled the air, creating a chaotic scene. The once lavish spread on the table had transformed into something unrecognizable. The dishes had turned into stones, branches, and what appeared to be rotting flesh. The wine had become a dark, foul liquid, filling the room with an unbearable stench. 0

Members of the merchant caravan began to vomit uncontrollably, unable to comprehend that they had consumed such vile substances. But it wasn't just the food that alarmed them; some noticed the drastic change in their surroundings and were gripped by terror. 0

The inn had completely transformed into a dilapidated state, with broken furniture scattered haphazardly about. As others finished retching, their faces pale with shock, they looked around in confusion. "What is happening?" 0

"This is bad; these people are dangerous," one of the guards muttered as he drew his weapon, though his hands trembled from fear as they found themselves surrounded. 0

The inn's patrons stared hungrily at the merchants, their eyes glowing with a sinister green light before they lunged forward. 0

Screams echoed through the air as the merchants were quickly overwhelmed. 0

Qin Feng observed this scene with indifference before shifting his gaze to the back of the inn. There was a powerful Ghostly Energy emanating from that direction, similar to that of the Old Ghost King he had previously vanquished. 0

He shook his head slightly in disbelief. "What is going on? Has the demonic presence spread this far? It seems Da Li is not as stable as I thought." 0

With a flick of his serpent tail, Black Snake darted through the air like a dark streak and arrived at a door at the back of the inn. With another flick of its tail, the door burst open, revealing the scene inside. 0

"Who?" A chilling, raspy voice echoed from within, accompanied by a bone-chilling gust of wind. 0

Inside, several white candles flickered dimly. A disheveled woman lay on a bed beside a plump man dressed in Jin Yi—the owner of the merchant caravan—whose face was now a sickly shade of purple and whose eyes were wide open in death. 0

The woman slowly rose from the bed, her eyes glowing with an eerie green light. If one only looked at her attire, she could easily be mistaken for an elegant lady of high status. 0

"Hmm? A snake demon?" She regarded Black Snake with curiosity before her expression shifted to one of realization. "Could you be She Snake? No... you should be dead!" 0

Qin Feng was taken aback; this ghostly figure recognized She Snake. Did it have some connection to Tiger King? He quickly altered his voice to sound feminine. "Do you know me?" 0

The female ghost scrutinized Black Snake with a puzzled expression. Although she found it strange that he lacked any demonic aura and did not appear human, she still explained, "I am Chang Gui, the servant of Tiger King. I have been outside all this time and have never returned, so I have only heard of you but never seen you." 0

Qin Feng was taken aback. So that was the case. Curiosity got the better of him as he asked, "Then why did you destroy this town?" 0

Realizing her mistake, the female ghost suddenly became alert and looked at Black Snake suspiciously. She then examined him from head to toe, her face twisting into a fierce expression. "Wait, you don’t carry the aura of Tiger King. You’re not She Snake." 0

Qin Feng froze for a moment; he had been discovered. 0

"You’re looking for death!" The female ghost was enveloped in a surge of dark energy as she extended her sharp fingers and lunged at Black Snake. 0

Black Snake swiftly expanded in size, his tail whipping around to tightly ensnare the female ghost. His mouth opened wide, facing her as he coldly demanded, "What did Tiger King send you here for?" 0

The female ghost stared in horror at Black Snake's gaping maw. How could he be so powerful? She felt almost completely powerless to retaliate. 0

Seeing her silent response, Qin Feng's eyes glinted coldly as the serpent's body began to constrict. 0

Though she was a ghost, Black Snake was merely a manifestation of Dragon Vein energy, which was particularly effective against her kind. Thus, the female ghost found herself unable to break free as her form slowly began to disintegrate. 0

With a pained scream, she cried out in agony. If she were an ordinary person, they would have already bled from their orifices due to the pressure. Yet Qin Feng remained unfazed. 0

"Will you speak?" Qin Feng asked with an unyielding tone. 0

The female ghost shot a venomous glare at Black Snake. "Don’t get too cocky; Hei Lang Wang will kill you." With that, her body erupted with terrifying dark energy. 0

A chill ran through Qin Feng’s heart. "So she intends to self-destruct." Without hesitation, he opened his mouth and swallowed the female ghost whole. 0

Black Snake shrank in size and flew away. 0

On Wolf Mountain, outside a cave dwelling, countless green eyes glimmered in the darkness. Packs of black wolves were either lying down or sitting around the cave entrance, their ears perked up and alert to their surroundings. 0

The cave was vast and filled with hidden wonders; luminous pearls were embedded in the stone walls, illuminating the space rather than leaving it dark. Occasionally, young maidens passed through carrying platters of food and drink. 0

Deeper inside was even more opulent, resembling a wealthy household from the human realm, and it was brighter still. 0

A table laden with food and drink was occupied by two individuals: a middle-aged man and a young master dressed in Jin Yi attire, with an old man standing behind him. 0

"I didn’t expect Zhenbei Wang to send his son here. Isn’t he afraid I might take action?" The middle-aged man said with a forced smile. 0

The young master flicked open his folding fan and replied with a grin, "Hei Lang Wang, you wouldn’t dare." 0

Hei Lang Wang’s expression shifted as he let out a cold snort, his entire demeanor radiating an overwhelming pressure directed at the young master. 0
