"Background?" The little fox looked confused for a moment, then said, "I don't really have a background. I've been alone since I became aware of myself. The forest had wild fruits, so I didn't starve. The wild beasts said I could hide from them, but there were many monsters who called me a Purple-eyed Fox and wanted to eat me. So, I escaped the forest.

The little fox was taken aback and looked up at Qin Feng. She thought of the peaceful days she had experienced these past few days—this was what she had longed for the most.
With a swift motion, the little fox raised her paw and tightly grasped the Jade Token in her hand. "I’m willing to follow the young lady."
Qin Feng smiled slightly. "Very wise choice. Transform into your human form and serve my sister from now on."
"Yes, Young Master." The little fox nodded, and with a flash of light, an eleven-year-old girl appeared before them.
Her large eyes shimmered with a hint of purple, and she wore a red dress that was not overly flashy but added to her cuteness instead. Two small braids swayed gently on her head.
"Ah!" Qin Wan'er exclaimed in surprise, covering her mouth as she stared wide-eyed at the little girl before her. "Y-You are the little fox?"
The little fox smiled and nodded. "Yes, Miss."
Qin Feng looked at her for a moment longer. "Do you have a name?"
The little fox shook her head. "No name."
Qin Feng thought for a moment and said, "From now on, you’ll take my surname Qin as well. Let’s call you Qin Zilan. How does that sound?"
"Qin Zilan, is that the name of the purple orchid? I have a name now!" The little fox bounced happily.
Qin Wan'er was also delighted; this meant she would have a playmate from now on.
Qin Feng thought the same. The little fox could not only stay with them but also keep Qin Wan'er company. Although he was just a young boy, he possessed a mature soul within. There were many things that were inconvenient for him.
Since they could not win over Qin Feng, Li Liang did not linger any longer and hurriedly took Zhen Mo Wei away from Anping County.
On that day, the sky was clear and bright. Outside the courtyard gate stood an ox cart, pulled by a large black bull, with a brand-new carriage behind it.

"Okay, brother." Qin Wan'er felt a twinge of reluctance as she lifted the curtain of the carriage and gazed at their tightly shut little courtyard.
She silently murmured to herself about her father and mother, thinking how much her brother had changed. They were now going to participate in the Provincial Examination, and after making it onto the Golden List, they would definitely return.
At that moment, the little fox, still in its fox form, noticed Qin Wan'er's sad expression and gently patted her hand with its tiny paw.
Snapped back to reality, Qin Wan'er smiled and picked up the little fox in her arms.
Qin Feng reached out and gave Old Black Bull's rear a pat. "Lao Hei, let’s head out of the city."
