"Isn't that what you said? I'm a criminal; what's the difference between killing my own and killing others?" 0

With that, Klick's figure vanished into the air, gliding away in the direction Jiang Ming had come from. 0

This was his second Psychic Ability: Biomechanical Cloaking. 0

Jiang Ming watched the direction in which Klick had disappeared, his gaze growing colder as he pondered the potential situations he might soon face. 0

Deep in the vast ocean, Yan Qing was leading Jiang Wenyu and Drui Feng, swimming towards the hiding place of the Deep Sea Sprite like brave warriors. 0

The water surged around them, creating ripples in their wake. 0

Suddenly, Yan Qing sensed an elusive invisible force brushing past him like a ghost. The mysterious aura sent a chill down his spine. 0

Almost simultaneously, Drui Feng also keenly detected something unusual. 0

His eyes widened in alarm as he exchanged a tense glance with Yan Qing, as if asking, "What was that? Something just passed by us." 0

Yan Qing shook his head slightly, his gaze resolute as he gestured downward, reminding them that their primary task at that moment was to find Jiang Ming. 0

The three of them descended slowly to the surface of the sea. Normally, there would be numerous Deep Sea Sprite criminals patrolling this area, but now, looking around, the waters were eerily calm, as if enchanted into silence. 0

Occasionally, a few fish swam leisurely by, flicking their tails as if oblivious to the strange tranquility. Below the surface, gently swaying seaweed danced gracefully with the currents. However, due to some fish having their energy siphoned by the Deep Sea Sprite criminals, an unsettling stillness hung in the water, reminiscent of the oppressive calm before a storm. 0

They passed through an energy barrier and arrived at the entrance of the Deep Sea Sprite's lair. The once tightly shut door was now ajar, revealing a gap over ten centimeters wide—like a silent mouth telling stories of what had transpired here. 0

After crossing the barrier, Drui Feng exaggeratedly brushed off nonexistent dust from his clothes and frowned in complaint. "Goodness, it's so wet! This is really uncomfortable." 0

Then he lifted his head to gaze at the grand palace of the Deep Sea Sprite before him, surprise and disdain flickering in his eyes. He smirked and muttered, "These people sure know how to enjoy themselves; they've built this hideout like a king's palace. It's almost admirable." 0

Hearing Drui Feng's words, Jiang Wenyu rolled his eyes at his back with disapproval, his tone dripping with contempt. "This is a hideout for criminals. Just look at their appearance and attire; it’s clear they’ve plundered enough wealth to construct such an enormous palace. Behind this grandiose architecture lies the blood and lives of many." 0

Yan Qing looked at the two and frowned slightly, speaking in a low voice, "Alright, let's not talk about it anymore. We should go in and find Jiang Ming first. We haven't seen any sign of the Deep Sea Sprite since we came down; they might be hiding somewhere. It's best not to act rashly and focus on finding Jiang Ming." 0

Drui Feng immediately responded, "Understood, Brother Yan." 0

Following Yan Qing, the two entered the palace. 0

The scene inside the palace took them by surprise. They had expected to find either Jiang Ming or members of the Deep Sea Sprite, but to their astonishment, there seemed to be no one they were looking for. Instead, the floor was littered with a number of desiccated corpses. 0

These corpses lay scattered across the ground, their skin shriveled like dried bark, exuding an aura of death. Judging by their clothing, it was clear that these individuals were criminals from the Deep Sea Sprite. 0

Yan Qing crouched down, his expression grave as he examined the bodies closely. His fingers lightly touched the skin of one corpse, feeling its dry texture. 0

A question arose in his mind: "How did they die? Could it have been Jiang Ming's doing? But Jiang Ming is clearly a user of Ice-type Psychic Ability. From the signs of death on these bodies, it looks more like their bodily fluids were drained by a Water Ability user, which is why they have become desiccated corpses." 0

As Yan Qing pondered this, Drui Feng suddenly exclaimed as if he had discovered something. "What is that? You guys, look over there!" 0

Everyone turned to follow Drui Feng's pointing finger in astonishment. Above them in the palace ceiling was a mass of octopuses crawling all over, slowly circling around a cylindrical object. 0

The tentacles of those octopuses appeared particularly eerie under the faint blue glow, oozing a viscous liquid that made them seem like demons crawling up from the depths of hell. 0

The cylindrical object hidden among the many figures emitted a weak blue light, resembling stars twinkling in the night sky. 0

Yan Qing's eyes lit up; he recognized it as an Ability Crystal, a natural storage device capable of extracting harmless Psychic Ability energy. 0

He marveled inwardly: "I didn't expect the Deep Sea Sprite to have such a large reserve of Psychic Ability resources. But it seems they haven't used this Psychic Ability equipment. What circumstances could lead them to abandon such a valuable asset?" 0

Looking at the corpses strewn across the floor, Yan Qing fell into deep thought once again. 0

Suddenly, Jiang Wenyu heard some kind of noise, causing her nerves to tense up instantly. She cautiously glanced toward the throne at the top of the palace. There, a shadowy figure emerged—it was none other than Jiang Ming. 0

Jiang Ming's figure appeared somewhat blurred under the dim light as he slowly descended the steps, each step seemingly weighed down by heavy pressure. 0

His expression was grave, and his eyes revealed a hint of fatigue and helplessness. 0

Standing before Yan Qing, Jiang Ming spoke in a low voice, "I'm sorry. I arrived too late and let them escape." 0

Yan Qing quietly met Jiang Ming's gaze, saying nothing. His eyes were filled with questions and contemplation, as if he were trying to find answers in Jiang Ming's expression. 0

After a long pause, it was Drui Feng who could no longer bear the tense atmosphere. He exaggeratedly laughed and joked, "Jiang Ge, what's wrong with you? With your S-level Psychic Ability, you couldn't even handle an S-level Deep Sea Sprite leader?" 0

Yan Qing frowned slightly and glanced at Drui Feng. Drui Feng immediately shut his mouth, offering an awkward smile. 0

From the corpses on the ground, they had determined that the notorious criminal Klick from the Deep Sea Sprite was not among them. 0

Worry filled Yan Qing's heart; he knew that Klick's escape would bring greater danger. 0

The fact that Jiang Ming had arrived earlier yet failed to capture Klick was inconceivable given his Psychic Ability level. This indicated that something unknown had transpired in between. 0

Yan Qing's gaze was too piercing, and Jiang Ming did not want to meet it. 0

He hurriedly turned away, pointing at the corpses on the ground in an attempt to divert attention. "What happened to these bodies? I remember they weren't like this just a moment ago." 0
