After saying this, he paid no mind to whether the two understood him or not. The Ten Thousand Blade Umbrella in his hand had already transformed back into a pile of fragments, merging into the Silver Rapier.
Immediately, the two teammates watched as he plunged the sword into the ground and began to sift through the soil beneath.
"What's wrong with him?" Chen Huan'er couldn't help but ask, surprised to see Lin Han behaving so irrationally.
"I have no idea," Xue Wushuang sighed in response.
"I found something that can clear the chaos. Do you know that feeling when sounds fill your head?"
It was as if someone had pried open your skull and was teasing your nerves with bloody fingers!
Lin Han showed no signs of stopping his actions; he merely looked up at the two with a wry smile and said, "Those things come alive and twist all your thoughts into a knot."
When chaos erupted, thousands of different thoughts flooded his mind simultaneously.
Suddenly, he froze. Beneath him, something truly emerged—fragments, copper fragments, glimmering with a golden sheen on their surface.
"Is there really something?" Xue Wushuang gasped in shock, not believing that he had actually stumbled upon something by accident.
"How could this be? Why is this happening?"
Lin Han cradled the few fragments in his hands as if they were treasures. He quickly discarded the Silver Rapier and began to dig with both hands.
Gradually, a bronze bell over two meters tall was unearthed from the ground. The surface of the bell was covered in clumps of dirt, yet its sacred patterns and inscriptions remained intact.
The three worked together to pull the bell from the earth; due to its shattered state, it was caked with mud inside. The most striking feature was a large hole on its surface, as if something had pierced straight through it.
"What is this?" Xue Wushuang couldn't help but ask.
"You Huang Zhong," Lin Han replied solemnly, gripping the fragments tightly as if afraid to miss any detail.
"This is You Huang Zhong? The legendary artifact that summons nations to pay homage?"
"Why has it become like this? What kind of thing or person could pierce through it like this?"
Chen Huan'er hurriedly inquired, her face filled with confusion.
At that moment, Lin Han felt an overwhelming sense of despair; after all his efforts, everything had crumbled away. Suddenly, a wave of chaotic feelings surged through his mind once again.
The distortion of his consciousness polluted his emotions, making him extremely unstable. He slammed his hands down on the shattered Phantom Emperor Bell, only able to hear the faint sound of the wind passing through it.
A profound sense of helplessness flooded his mind, and within his twisted awareness, he could hardly muster any desire to move. Lin Han let out a bitter laugh, his body leaning against the broken bell as emotions rained down in his mind like droplets hitting the ground.
In his eyes, some feelings began to dissipate as he leaned against the edge of the bell. "Lin Han! Lin!" Xue Wushuang rushed to his side, watching as his eyes slowly filled with darkness.
"Lin Brother!" Chen Huan'er was instantly moved to tears. Zhang Xianyue had once told them that chaotic emotions and status were the results of conscious attacks and pollution. If Lin Han's heart was still filled with rejection towards such things, he would not be overwhelmed by that pollution; otherwise...
"Lin!" Xue Wushuang shook Lin Han's body with both hands, seeing a glimmer of light slowly appear in his eyes, though it was tinged with helplessness.
"It's no use, Fat Cat. If I have to wear the Tiger Head Hat every day, I’ll accept it; it's just that hat—I can't maintain it every day."
