Lin Han remained silent, yet he had already grasped a considerable amount of information in his hands. He looked up at the second floor, where the individuals in those private rooms were the true esteemed guests of Yuelun Boss. Some had already predicted a few potential buyers for the Beast Eggs, all of whom were likely to emerge from those private rooms on the second floor.
Lin Han briefly estimated the assets he held. If it weren't for the previous doubling evolution for the Qilin, perhaps he could still have some competitiveness; however, at this moment, it seemed he could only watch.
Just then, several figures suddenly passed in front of him. In an instant, Lin Han's gaze shifted. The enhancement of his perception had significantly increased his sensitivity to certain presences. This feeling—had he seen them somewhere before? He murmured to himself, unconsciously observing the direction of those people.
The three or four individuals had already seated themselves in a corner on the other side, their faces pale—unnaturally so. Lin Han sat in his chair, closed his eyes, and searched his memory, comparing it with this kind of aura one by one. "Lin Han?" At that moment, a voice suddenly appeared beside him. Turning to look, he saw a young man staring at him with a curious expression.
"Who are you?" Lin Han asked, puzzled; he knew that not many people in Ancheng recognized him.
"Let me introduce myself. My name is Zhang Xianyue, and I am the Little Boss of this Yuelun Auction House."
The man chuckled lightly, but there was a hint of loneliness in his tone.
"I’ve looked into some of your information. You’re a well-known student from the Military Academy. I never expected to see you here. Ever since I awakened, I’ve wanted to be a Beast Master, but that dream seems to have slipped away."
"Little Boss? You’re the one who took my things earlier?"
Lin Han made a mental note of the title "Little Boss," not expecting to meet the person so soon. Without hesitation, he quickly added, "By the way, does your Auction House have any other security measures? Some dangerous individuals have mixed in!"
Zhang Xianyue, upon hearing this, didn’t seem surprised at all. He leaned back in his chair and casually replied, "It’s no problem. This auction is lively enough as it is; a few more cheerers won’t hurt."
In that instant, Lin Han caught the underlying meaning in his words and felt the burning gazes from some corners of the Auction House.
"Lin Han! What are you doing here?" Suddenly, an abrupt voice interrupted their conversation.
At the sound, a chill ran through Lin Han; he recognized that voice all too well—Meng Ziyao!
He turned to follow the voice and was taken aback to see that she was indeed one of the distinguished guests on the second floor.
"What are you doing here?" Meng Ziyao's face was aggressive as she glared fiercely at Lin Han.
