With a loud bang, the tightly shut doors of the Mission Hall were kicked open. The door slammed against the metal wall beside it, producing a dull thud.
A man with a square face entered, his brows furrowed with an intimidating aura. He wore a tracksuit tied around his waist, and beneath it, his muscular physique filled out the loose shirt, making it appear taut.
Compared to Qin Yu, the burly man looked older. As soon as he stepped into the hall, he erupted into a tirade. "Qin Yu, you little brat! Where have you taken my daughter?"
His booming voice echoed through the hall, causing Qin Yu, who was surrounded by a crowd and facing away from everyone, to turn pale.
Behind the man stood a young woman dressed in official attire, her expression one of distress as she tried to calm him down. "Han Team, I know you're anxious right now. This is the Mission Hall affiliated with the Military Department. Could you please tone it down? If the higher-ups find out you're here causing a scene, it won’t end well."
"Damn it! My daughter is missing; what kind of battle are we even talking about?" The man shouted, pushing through the crowd.
Some people were ready to confront him but were quickly stopped by those who understood the situation. "What are you stopping me for? Can't you see he’s the one provoking us?"
The defiant individual glared at his companion. "Are you trying to get yourself killed? Don’t you recognize who this is?"
"Of course not! If I had met just one person like him in my years at the Military Department, I wouldn't be in this mess!"
"Since you're from the Military Department and don't recognize him, you must have heard of Ren Tu and Gu Sha, right?"
"Yeah, aren’t they the two great war gods of the Empire? One is named Xue Ren Tu and the other—"
"The one who just walked in—Han Gu Luo Fu Gu Sha."
The person whispered in disbelief. "What’s he doing here? I thought they were stationed at the two borders of the Empire."
"I heard that Gu Sha's precious daughter went missing. I suspect this has something to do with Qin Canmou."
"Best keep quiet then; just watching this unfold is enough."
The discussions continued endlessly in the small Mission Hall, where the appearance of this legendary figure sparked a wave of hushed murmurs among the crowd.
Han Gu's expression was extremely grim as he pushed his way to Qin Yu, exuding a suppressed yet overwhelming aura. He found Qin Yu standing there, motionless.
Fury surged within Han Gu, and a faint, massive centipede phantom flickered behind him. The mere pressure of his presence made those nearby instinctively step back.
“Qin Yu, I heard that while I was away, you lost my daughter?”
Qin Yu remained silent, still facing away as if lost in thought.
“I’m talking to you!” Han Gu's voice rose sharply, the sound waves crashing toward Qin Yu like a tangible force. The pressure he emitted was far more terrifying than that of a Starry Level warrior.
Qin Yu did not move until the sound gradually faded, at which point he slowly turned around as if just realizing what was happening.
“Given your age, can’t you learn to be a bit more composed? You think just because you’re not in your own Liaoning Province that the Military Department won’t dare to do anything to you?”
Hearing Qin Yu’s threatening words, Han Gu couldn’t help but laugh in anger, veins bulging on his forehead.
“If the Military Department can’t take care of Consort Han, I’ll just take her away from this wretched place. Besides those old geezers, how many in the entire empire would dare to stop me?”
With those words, Han Gu had already begun to provoke the authority of the Military Department, and the expressions of the staff present turned grim as well.
