The body was merely a moment, gradually solidifying and losing its luster like shattered porcelain, until it completely broke apart.
Xiao Ming furrowed his brows as he watched the monstrous transformation before him, coldly addressing his teammates below. "If you don't want to die, stay far away! I can't look after you!"
With that, a towering wave of molten lava surged up, attempting to completely devour Xiao Ming and burn him to ashes.
"Wind Weasel, Wind Blade!"
Just as the lava was about to engulf him, Xiao Ming's right arm glimmered with the snowy fur of the Wind Weasel, and a powerful gale erupted around him, expanding outward in an instant. The lava was scattered by the wind blades, and when everyone finally saw Xiao Ming again, he was unharmed.
With wings of wind unfurled behind him, Xiao Ming's keen gaze locked onto the attacking Iron Lord once more.
Rather than calling it the Iron Lord, it looked more like an enormous Giant Maggot magnified several times over. The Giant Maggot struggled and quivered within its magma body, which was encased in a mechanical shell that resembled a cocoon nurturing the Giant Maggot.
It continuously expelled hot air from its massive maw, its numerous spiral teeth rhythmically contracting and expanding.
"What on earth is that?" came the cold voice of Luo Qing through the earpiece.
"That is the true form of the Iron Lord, an alien life form controlling it."
"I absolutely despise seeing these wriggling, furry things. You really make me sick, you giant maggot."
Xiao Ming's brows slightly knitted together; just a glance at the writhing Giant Maggot made his stomach churn. He flicked his left hand, sending out several sharp Feng Lian blades.
The razor-sharp Feng Lian tore through space, approaching the Giant Maggot relentlessly. However, before he could close in completely, large masses of lava beneath the Giant Maggot seemed to possess intelligence, continuously counteracting the power of the Feng Lian.
"Luo, create an opportunity for me! I want to take it down with one strike!"
Xiao Ming's eyes narrowed slightly as he realized that ordinary attacks couldn't harm this disgusting alien life form. A surge of murderous intent rose within him.
Luo's figure gathered in the distance, her delicate face slightly furrowed as she maintained a cold demeanor.
"No, that's too disgusting. I don't want anything to do with it."
Xiao Ming was momentarily at a loss for words, his eyes twitching. He then softened his tone and said, "Lady Wife, let's deal with it quickly so we can return to our world together. My subordinates are here; give me some face."
His voice was low, and as he spoke, Xiao Ming deliberately let the strong wind sweep past his ear to prevent his subordinates from overhearing their conversation.
"Just this once, buy me a bag. Two of them," Luo's voice remained cold, but there was a hint of amusement in her tone.
"Alright! I'll risk it. Buy me some time and keep it trapped."
"Mm."
Luo's voice gradually faded away as the alien Giant Maggot continued to struggle against its cocoon, which was actually the body of the Iron Lord. The more it struggled, the more turbulent the magma waves surged around them.
The faces of the Squad members standing on the stone platform changed dramatically, but just then, a cloud of mist appeared out of nowhere. Following that, countless wisps of mist coalesced into chains.
From below in the Magma Pool, a rustling sound echoed continuously. Suddenly, like fishing, a Flesh-colored Lizard wrapped in misty chains was pulled out from the Magma Pool.
