Qin Luoxi darted back and forth, evading the lasers shot by the Mechanical Vanguard from a distance.
"Go!"
Xue Wushuang shouted, and beside Zhou Qingqing, a Centaur let out a low growl. A hazy glow enveloped the rest of the team, and Xue Wushuang, along with the others, sprinted desperately.
Just as they caught sight of the ruins, a humanoid figure flickered before Xue Wushuang's eyes, countless iron arms crashing down.
Xue Wushuang's eyes turned blood red once more, surrounded by a layer of crimson Blood Light. Instinctively, she crossed her arms in front of her. The mechanical arm struck her arm, producing a series of cracking sounds as her blood-tinged arm absorbed the impact.
"Go!"
Xue Wushuang roared. After fending off a barrage from the Pioneer, she suddenly exerted force, pressing down hard on the Pioneer’s head. Her arms bulged with veins as she yanked violently.
In an instant, the mechanical head of the Pioneer was ripped clean off its body, along with numerous tubes and mechanical components scattering across the ground.
Like tossing away garbage, Xue Wushuang discarded the Pioneer’s head. Just then, another Pioneer rushed in behind her.
"I'll help you!"
Zhou Qingqing's voice rang out as her left arm glimmered with Jin Mang energy. A phantom circular shield appeared, and Zhou Qingqing wasted no time.
Her right hand transformed the circular shield into Jin Mang and hurled it toward Xue Wushuang. As Xue Wushuang's protective barrier merged with the shield's phantom, it gradually solidified.
The Pioneer brought down its mechanical arm onto the protective barrier, creating a sound like raindrops hitting glass.
Having activated Bloodthirsty Frenzy, Xue Wushuang showed no mercy. She reached out and firmly grasped two of the flailing mechanical arms.
With a fierce roar, she yanked them hard; there was a crack followed by sparks and a harsh grinding noise as she forcibly tore the two mechanical arms off.
Xue Wushuang slammed the mechanical arms directly against the Pioneer. Yet behind her, the headless Pioneer somehow stood up again and continued to swing its mechanical arms.
"We can't waste time with them; we need to retreat quickly!"
Qin Luoxi's voice echoed through the chaos.
At that moment, a sound like breaking air rang out as the newly risen headless Pioneer was cleaved in two by an immense force.
The Mercenary Middle-aged Man was engulfed in flames of blood red; he too possessed the Frenzy talent.
Following closely behind was a man and a woman, each wielding a crossbow, attacking the encircling Mechanical Vanguard. Streams of light and arrows rained down around the tracked Mechanical Pioneer, which stood only half a meter tall. It was soon overwhelmed by a barrage of arrows, rendering it immobile.
At this moment, Qin Luoxi also arrived on the scene. The Cry Blood Soul Blade pierced through the large-headed Mechanical Vanguard's shell, impaling it completely. A cautious explosion echoed in the air.
