The king's orders were absolute and could not be defied.
Several Puppet Knights emitted stiff, mechanical sounds, their bodies resonating with the harsh grinding of gears within.
"That's more like it, Blazing Fire Qilin! Blazing Fire Burns the Sky! Dark Black Tortoise, unleash your fury!"
With a wave of Lin Han's hand, the Blazing Fire Qilin beside him raised its beastly head and let out a roar. Countless flames shot up into the sky, cascading down like a rain of fire. The flames quickly engulfed the advancing army of Puppet Knights.
The Dark Black Tortoise let out a deep, rumbling growl. From its serpentine tail, a wave of water surged forth, spreading out like ripples. By the time the Puppet Knights approached, the waves had already risen to over two meters high.
The torrent crashed down violently, swallowing the Puppet Knights in flames and causing their bodies to explode. Lin Han raised an eyebrow as he witnessed how easily he had dispatched most of these troublemaking Puppet Knights.
"Is that all they’ve got?" he thought to himself when suddenly he took a step back as a sword edge grazed his face.
What a good mask! He felt no harm from the blade.
As Lin Han focused on the shadow that had attempted to ambush him, he saw a fist wrapped in immense power crashing down toward him. The fiery punch struck the Puppet Knight Commander standing before him, sending dazzling flames soaring into the sky.
The wooden structure of the Puppet Knight Commander's body was shattered by the tremendous force, revealing whirring gears inside that spun violently.
So tough!
Lin Han furrowed his brow beneath his mask; even with the enhancement from Flame Sovereign, his physical strength struggled to withstand the recoil from that punch.
At that moment, the Puppet Knight Commander stood still, its black Mechanical Eye slowly rotating in its eye sockets while its head trembled irregularly.
Rebellion must be met with ruthless extermination.
A stiff voice emerged from the Puppet Knight Commander. Just as Lin Han prepared to land two more punches, the Commander suddenly moved.
It swiftly retreated, swinging its sword toward Lin Han's neck.
Instead of retreating, Lin Han advanced, dodging the incoming strike at an angle. He raised his right arm, which glimmered with metallic patterns.
Steel Body was pushed to its limit as he blocked the incoming sword strike with a low shout.
Without hesitation, his fist struck the Puppet Knight Commander squarely in the face, sending splinters of wood and sparks flying as the gears emitted a harsh grinding noise.
Immediately, the sword that the Puppet Knight Commander had been wielding fell from its grip with a clatter, crashing to the ground.
In his mind, the System Voice echoed.

Lin Han looked at the debris scattered around him, and the scene shifted back to the towering bell tower he had seen earlier.

Lin Han's eyes widened as he noticed that ahead of him stood a group of over ten knights. Their attire, their demeanor, their questions, and the malice hidden beneath their helmets were all too familiar.
It wasn't until Lin Han employed his old tactics that the Reaper Knight Commander responded differently than before.
