Lin Han, a Diamond Beastmaster, had just completed a mission and was greeted by a bright flash of light. A melodious voice echoed in his ears, announcing his reward: Kryptonite Points and a Random Quality Item Reward Box.
Suddenly, a sharp pain shot through his ear as a sound pierced the air. "Ow, ow, ow! Let go! My ear is going to fall off!" Lin Han winced, feeling as if something was trying to rip his ear off.
Perhaps sensing his discomfort, the small creature that had been clinging to his ear shivered and then plopped down onto the ground. Only then did Lin Han get a good look at what had been biting him. It was a tiny ball of fluff, no bigger than the palm of his hand, with big, dark eyes that looked up at him with an innocent expression.
Ignoring the pain in his ear, Lin Han reached down to pick up the soft little creature. Its texture was delightfully fluffy. "You’re telling me this is the Holy King Shattered Star? Legendary? What kind of joke is this?" He felt like a herd of wild horses had just stampeded through his mind; it was hard to believe that the system would play such tricks on him.
The creature's status appeared before him: Holy Beast Shattered Star, Stage One, Status: Weak.
Lin Han's emotions were mixed as he held the tiny fluffball in his hands. "Well, since you’re Legendary, you must have some extraordinary qualities," he muttered. "Let’s get you something to eat; being Weak isn’t going to help either of us."
With a shake of his head, he carried the Shattered Star Beast toward a nearby restaurant.
