As a freshman just starting at the academy, maintaining composure might lead to serious misunderstandings.
Seeing Lin Han's extreme reaction, the coldness in Wu Qinghong's eyes lessened significantly.
"Do you really have no connection to the cult?"
"I can assure you, there is no connection at all," Lin Han replied firmly. Wu Qinghong did not look at him but instead lowered her gaze to a researcher beside her.
Lin Han sensed something and followed her gaze. It was a bronze pipe, from which wisps of blue smoke were slowly rising. The researcher's expression brightened, and he hurriedly said something to Wu Qinghong.
Wu Qinghong's expression shifted from serious to relaxed as she waved her hand, signaling the researcher.
The glass cover in front of Lin Han began to rise slowly. Before he could grasp the situation, a fragrant breeze wafted toward him.
In full view of everyone, Wu Qinghong directly pulled him into her embrace.
Getting closer to Lin Han, he realized that Wu Qinghong was much taller than the average woman. He was still in his growth phase, barely reaching 1.7 meters, while Wu Qinghong stood at an impressive 1.8 meters. As she deliberately wrapped her arms around his neck, Lin Han felt a soft touch against his cheek.

Lin Han was immersed in this unprecedented experience when suddenly a low voice whispered in his ear.
Being so close, Wu Qinghong's breath felt fragrant, making Lin Han's ears tingle slightly.
"Don't let your guard down; this isn't our territory. Just do whatever they ask you to do for now, and we'll talk once we’re outside."
Lin Han's eyes widened in surprise, and before he could process her words, Wu Qinghong had already released him.
He felt warmth lingering on his face but saw that Wu Qinghong had stood up and was speaking to several researchers.
"Take him for a physical examination."
"Yes!" Several white-coated staff members stepped forward.
Lin Han was bewildered as they led him away, and for the next while, he underwent the most comprehensive physical examination of his life. If it hadn't been for Wu Qinghong's prior warning, he would have considered making a run for it several times.
After enduring several hours of torment, Lin Han was carried into a clean and tidy room.
The room contained only a bed and a table, appearing stark and empty.
Who am I? Where am I? Why am I here to cooperate with them?
Lin Han's eyes were vacant and lifeless. The entire examination had been tedious and meticulous. At first, Lin Han tried to remain cautious and alert, but after countless rounds of checks, with his body exposed to the gaze of so many, he no longer cared.
The way they looked at him felt as if he were merely a cabbage on display.

As Lin Han stared blankly into space, a voice suddenly echoed in the room without warning.
Lin Han snapped back to reality and saw Wu Qinghong propped up on the headboard, her hands resting on her chin, smiling at him.
Wu Jiaoxi, what is going on? Why am I here? You told me to cooperate with them; who are they? Is this not an academy?
Lin Han was overwhelmed with questions, eager for answers, especially since everything was so different from what he remembered before losing consciousness.
"Don't rush," Wu Qinghong said lazily as she leaned back against the headboard. "I will tell you everything I can."
