"We are here to provide support," Qin Luoxi said, his expression cold as he faced Jin Yunsheng.
"Support?" Jin Yunsheng's eyes widened in disbelief. In the past, he wouldn't have believed a single word about how powerful the Military Academy was. But witnessing the terrifying strength of these two before him shattered his worldview.
His emotions flared, causing pain to shoot through his wounds, and Jin Yunsheng's face contorted in agony.
"You’re injured. We’ll get you out, but you must promise us that you won’t disclose what you’ve seen to anyone. Otherwise..." Lin Han regained his composure, fixing his gaze on Jin Yunsheng. He didn’t want the outside world to know too soon about their true strength and hidden cards—these were crucial for their survival in the future.
"I, from the Jin Family, am a man of my word. You two are my saviors; I won’t mention what I’ve seen today. However, I must report the appearance of the Fallen Demon Hunter to the Empire."
"That’s fine, but when you do, just say we assisted from the sidelines while you delivered the final blow," Lin Han nodded. Qin Luoxi remained silent beside him, yet his eyes were fixed on Lin Han, unable to shake off the image of Lin Han’s decisive action.
"That mask is problematic; don’t use it unless absolutely necessary," Qin Luoxi's voice drifted as Lin Han turned away.
"Understood," Lin Han replied, acknowledging that Qin Luoxi was looking out for him.
The three of them and their two beasts quickly left the underground parking lot, where the fire had already been brought under control.
"Where are we headed next?" Qin Luoxi asked Lin Han, as if with him around, she would never have to think again and could simply be a blade ready to strike.
"We’ll regroup with Fat Cat and the others. I just received news that they are near the Central Commercial City."
"Great!"
Qin Luoxi nodded and placed Jin Yunsheng in a safe spot before hurriedly leaving with Lin Han.
Watching the two figures riding the Blazing Fire Qilin fade into the distance, Jin Yunsheng finally regained his senses and let out a sigh.
Is this truly the underlying power of the Military Academy? It is indeed terrifying. I should contact my father and advise him to choose a side soon. If there ever comes a day when we have to face these people as enemies, the Jin Family might face annihilation.
Jin Yunsheng shook his head, flicking his fingers to reveal a transparent talisman. The talisman quickly ignited and vanished into thin air.
Meanwhile, in the grand hall of the Trade Center, countless severed limbs and chunks of flesh were scattered across the floor, with blood flowing freely, staining the marble tiles a deep brown.
In the center, on a long bench, the Magician sat quietly. The mask he wore had fierce crimson eyes that were closed, and his suit gleamed even more brightly.
Tap, tap, tap.
With slender fingers clad in white gloves, he tightly gripped a Blood-Red Cane. The gem at the end of the cane lightly tapped against the ground.
The rhythmic sound seemed to prepare for some kind of ritual.
A feast was about to begin—Crimson Freedom.
The Magician's voice echoed with a hint of hoarseness as he laughed, and the Distorted Monsters roaming around seemed to have received some kind of command.
They began to attack each other relentlessly, creating a hellish scene filled with chaos and carnage. Just then, a loud explosion rang out.
