The Freshman Competition has officially begun!
The entire arena was surrounded by a throng of students from various academies, creating a bustling atmosphere filled with cheers for their respective teams. Among them were several well-known squads, and while some lacked the strength typical of freshmen, many were simply there to enjoy the spectacle.
As a Military Affiliated Academy, the institution placed immense importance on competitions of all kinds. Although this was merely the Freshman Competition, the rewards were surprisingly generous. In addition to the predetermined prizes of Ten Thousand Accumulation and priority selection for class assignments, what truly drew attention were the rewards offered by the academy itself.
Three pieces of Diamond-Level Equipment, one Epic Beast Egg, and a privilege that exempted one from exams and assessments! While the first two items were understandable, the last one was an exceptional case.
The so-called exemption meant that members of the First Squad could bypass any evaluations or tests and directly advance to the Second Academy! This was a privilege reserved for talented students, allowing them to solidify and enhance their abilities using the resources provided by the academy. When they eventually began classes at the Second Academy, they would naturally have a greater chance of achieving higher ranks compared to their peers.
As the starting signal echoed through the loudspeakers, the Freshman Competition officially commenced. However, there was still no news of the much-anticipated Dragon Tooth Squad and Dragon Consort Squad taking to the stage. For other squads competing against each other, aside from a few familiar faces, most freshmen appeared disinterested—mainly due to the betting odds set by the academy.
It seemed as if the academy had intentionally placed both prominent squads at the end of the lineup. The opponents scheduled to face them had already resigned themselves to defeat. This was only natural; after all, even seasoned veterans among the Lao Sheng had little confidence in overcoming dungeons as freshmen, highlighting just how formidable these squads were.
Strong teams were meant to handle strong opponents; all they needed to do was engage in some friendly competition among themselves to determine who would take third place.
Finally, as dusk settled and searchlights illuminated the arena one by one, a voice emerged from the loudspeakers—one that everyone had been eagerly awaiting.
In the next match, the Dragon Tooth Squad faced off against the Dragon Consort Squad. The names of the team members were called out as they gathered in the waiting area.
"Lin Han, Xue Wushuang, Qin Luoxi, Zhou Qingqing, Chen Huan'er."
Upon hearing that the Dragon Tooth Squad was entering, the crowd erupted into cheers and a wave of noise filled the arena.
Shortly after, another set of names echoed through the loudspeakers.
"Han Fei, Mo Yu, Shen Xiaozhou, Shen Xiaochuan, Gu Yunzhou."
The excitement in the crowd intensified, with some even shouting the names of the Dragon Consort Squad members.
"Yunzhou, Yunzhou, I love you, just like a mouse loves rice!"
"My lord! Mo Goddess, we love you!"
At that moment, Lin Han and the others in the waiting area wore strange expressions. Was this really a Freshman Competition or some celebrity meet-and-greet? The fans were shouting as if their lives depended on it.
Just as they were puzzled by the situation, a synchronized chant broke out from the crowd, almost drowning out everything else in support of the Dragon Consort Squad.
"Luo Xi! Luo Xi! We love you forever!"
"Qin Luoxi's male god, please marry me soon!"
In the waiting area, members of the Dragon Tooth Squad struggled to hold back their laughter and instinctively glanced at Qin Luoxi, whose face had turned dark as she buried her head in her chest.
Indeed, it was still your charm at work.
"Shut up!"
